  • HAWRAF (hawraf.com) is new design studio founded by Andrew Herzog, Carly Ayres, Pedro Sanches, and Nicky Tesla. They are designers, writers, strategists, and creative technologists. Their work deals with creative accessibility, communication, and interaction- experimenting across a range of mediums and disciplines. The result can be brand identities, installations, activations, contemplations, websites, books, films, content, experiences, commercials, apps, objects, or anything else that gets the job done. Basically, they can and will create anything.
They do it well, too. Recently, Carly was also named one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company. Andrew spoke at the AWWWARDS Conference in London and Carly at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival (2017). Nicky was named Best Musician in high school. He was in the jazz band.
All four are alumni of the Google Creative Lab, where they collaborated on a range of projects from interactive web applications and physical installations. They also worked on projects that humanized artificial intelligence and evolved the Google logo.
Before that, Andrew worked at award-flocked advertising agency RGA, and later alongside Pedro at Sagmeister & Walsh. Meanwhile, Carly was one of the first employees at CreativeMornings and has worked with Collaborative Fund, ustwo, and i am OTHER. Nicky spent time with Collins working on interactive projects for clients including Facebook and Vitamin Water.
