But after her VISUALLY showing us…..it’s clicking. Same as you and sometimes I non stop getting complimented and other times I consistently get that I look 23 (this age is what they most say when they say I look younger)….& it’s clicked: usually when they say this…I have a backpack over a purse, sweats/joggers over jeans or other pants, hair in a bun like I would at home & not a curly bun/hair down, forgetaboutit when I haven’t done my eyebrows in a hot minute & they’re getting a little messy 😅 the make up isn’t a problem cause I get complimented with or without it Further, feel more confident when I’m dressed normally over sweats but sometimes sweats/joggers/hoodies are soooooo damn comfortable

Girl, yes! Strangers constantly mistake me for a teenager, treat me like a child, and/or talk down to me (I'm 23, have a degree, and am married 🙄). I work at a clothing store currently, and as the lead cashier, I come into contact with nearly every customer who comes through the store. I cannot tell you how many people treat me like a 16 y/o who must be new in the job and doesn't know what she's doing, so *clearly* they need to question everything and tell me what to do. Here's the problem with people thinking I'm younger than I really am: when they treat me with disrespect and act superior to me, it really makes my insecurities about my small and youthful appearance flare up. If someone compliments my good skin (youthful, glowy), that's great. But if they see that face and treat me like a child, it hits me really hard. So, all that to say, you are not alone, and I appreciate your video! 💚

I can relate to the struggles here. I’m actually 53 and 5ft which doesn’t help. I tend to look younger and often get talked down to with phrases such as “good girl” or “sweetie.” I have a 19 year old daughter who gets treated more mature but she is more confident than I am. It’s been a problem all my adult life and am proud of my a age and just wish I could be treated more grown up. I have long hair which makes it worse and dress casual. I’m trying to work on my style, least I don’t get asked for ID. I look after myself and my youthful looks are due to lifestyle and good genes but it’s frustrating.
I'm 51 and 5 ft too! I have a similar problem - I am married with 4 children - eldest 16 - youngest 5 - people think I'm in my twenties - obviously plausible with a 5 year old. Get talked down to as though I'm really young. These tips will help though. Thank you
So I'm 20 and I'm a volunteer at a museum, where everyone is aged 15-25. I swear to god everyone thought I was 16 untill I said my age. Once I was asked about my age by a visitor and they looked disappointed that I was so old

I have done everything and anything to look older all throughout my teenage years, I even tried makeup but unfortunately I don't like makeup so for a few years I did only wear red lipstick because I heard that it makes you look older😂 but now as a 24 year old I actually LOVE my baby face🥰 Every day I get asked about my age lol. Baby Face here, when I wear my hair down and natural I always get that I look 18 but I’ll be 25 this year. When I was pregnant I got concerning looks and people asking how old I was often but I was 21. Not a teen mom but sure looked like one lol 😂

When j was younger I was always accused of looking older and of being older for my age. I don’t know why but I was deeply offended by that. Now that I’m older, I’m accused of being younger than I actually am haha. We went to the office for the first time recently (in a lonnngggg time). I caught up with one of my old managers and finally told her I was in my mid30’s and she was so shocked, she thought i was in my mid 20’s. She was respectful about it though. Everyone says I dress “so fancy” at the office but in reality, it’s east coast style in the west coast (everyone on the west is so casual) and it’s my way of representing my age.

In middle school, a creeper suggested I was in college while chatting with me. I showed my middle school ID and he ran. I was so offended that when I was young- due to stress- a lot of people assumed I was a short, older person. So when I've little to no sleep and/or am stressed, I don't look too hot. When I'm happy, relaxed and rested people say I look younger, which is nice. I do wish to visit an esthetician, though
What’s funny about your video is this is my every day life lol. I was with my kids at an event for church to volunteer at a boys and girls club. Getting into volunteering for the community has been a long term dream of mine. I was so excited. After a full day of helping the church out and watching my kids, (all at the same time) there was this lady who was talking to a group of freshman college students that were volunteering for resume reasons, and she was asking them about school. While waiting on direction from the church my kids and I took a break near where they were standing. She then looked at me and asked what grade am I in. I was in disbelief that she just asked me that. 😂 One reason is because I was tending to my kids and she decides to ask me this random question about school and I’ve been got my degree years ago. The other reason being the volunteers were separated by the shirts we were wearing. All of the college students had on school shirts. All of the church members had on church shirts. I had a church shirt on, same as her, while holding a stroller that my kids were in and she asks me that. 🤦🏾♀️
I am 36 looking like I am between. 25-29. It was horrible in my 20s. But I am happy it somewhat balance out with my kids but it is still not the best experience.
Even when I have an expensive skirt suit on, Cuyana bag and heels, I get asked if I’m interning somewhere. Lol. I will look into the jumpsuit and the trench coat. All great tips!

I’ve not physically changed much from when I was 17. Now, the next problem is that I like dressing comfortably. I nanny my nieces, so chasing kids around all day means I need to be able to move and feel comfortable doing so. And I’ve been wearing the same three hairstyles for over five years now (down, top bun, and more recently a kind of crown braid that starts on the opposite side of my face and hangs down on the other side). I’m forever going to look like a teen… I’m tempted to get a sign to wear on my shirt any time I’m out in public that says, “I’m not a teen, I’m not in college, I just have a baby face. Please treat me like an adult, thank you.” 🤦🏼♀️😂

I notice makeup makes a big difference. If I don't wear any, I look really young. I don't look young with sparkly makeup but it could be because I wear natural looking tones (browns, red etc) vs sparkly blue or something. Also tshirts tend to make me look young, same with most casual clothes in general. i don't sweat it too much though. I just turned 30 and the most surprising was someone refusing to give me my groceries (no alcohol or anything, just groceries!) which I guess you need to be 18 to receive. ridiculous! I also think for so many women, it's just a height thing. for some reason we assume tall women are older and short women are young >:/

I don’t even think I have a baby face, I’m 22 and just seem to never look my age, when I was 13 people that I was 17-22, I would get hit on by grown men thinking I was in college. 15 and people thought I looked 17, by the time I was 17 I was told I looked 15, first time someone thought I looked younger not older and now it seems people think I’m forever 17. I get carded when my boyfriend doesn’t and I’m older than him. My customers ask me what grade I’m in but at the same time others ask me to go out for drinks. It seems split. I don’t look like I did when I was a teenager must people I knew then don’t recognize me. I dress and act more like a 22 year old, I can’t put my finger on why some people think I’m younger but a lot of people talk down to me and tell me “you won’t have to deal with this for a few years” when I already have.
Few more years to my 30 and is a boss of my small retail. No men approached me, they all lil boys like university boys that barely started dammit ugh. Just got the "oh why you look 12" and I immediately google: how to look like your age. Found this video. I hope this will help me 😩

I can relate to the struggles here. I’m actually 53 and 5ft which doesn’t help. I tend to look younger and often get talked down to with phrases such as “good girl” or “sweetie.” I have a 19 year old daughter who gets treated more mature but she is more confident than I am. It’s been a problem all my adult life and am proud of my a age and just wish I could be treated more grown up. I have long hair which makes it worse and dress casual. I’m trying to work on my style, least I don’t get asked for ID. I look after myself and my youthful looks are due to lifestyle and good genes but it’s frustrating.
I'm 51 and 5 ft too! I have a similar problem - I am married with 4 children - eldest 16 - youngest 5 - people think I'm in my twenties - obviously plausible with a 5 year old. Get talked down to as though I'm really young. These tips will help though. Thank you

I have done everything and anything to look older all throughout my teenage years, I even tried makeup but unfortunately I don't like makeup so for a few years I did only wear red lipstick because I heard that it makes you look older😂 but now as a 24 year old I actually LOVE my baby face🥰 Every day I get asked about my age lol. If I would to show you pictures of me as a teenager, you would say I still look exactly the same. I guess my body decided to stop changing at 13 😂

I'm a confident girl but omg didn't even notice my look and people's opinion about it made me lose my self confidence !! Sometimes it's just so hard to keep your confidence up when the thought of "people will think i'm a 12 y.o" comes across your mind.. i just can't be confident sometimes!

I recently got carded at a grocery store for getting a scratch ticket because the cashier thought I was underage but when she looked at my card, she said I was much older than her. I hate that I don't look my age but my parents keep saying it's a blessing....

I get mistaken all the time why I watch videos like these, I’m 27 and ppl always think I’m 17/18. They ask if I’m happy schools over for summer when I graduated highschool 10 years ago, I’m getting tired of ppl not believing me, I try to avoid telling ppl my age now it doesn’t help with my confidence. Baby Face here, when I wear my hair down and natural I always get that I look 18 but I’ll be 25 this year. When I was pregnant I got concerning looks and people asking how old I was often but I was 21. Not a teen mom but sure looked like one lol 😂

I turned 29 this year and I was mistaken for 19 or 20. Doesn't help that I'm short and small chested. I was worried that my boyfriend's family might mistaken me for 19, but they didn't (thank God).
In addition to all the baby face miracle/tragedy, I usually am very good with kids and I play with them whenever I find them. You have no idea how many times I’ve been asked “ but aren’t you 14?” 😂 i’m 27.8 at this point and a little girl thought I was in kindergarten that day, that’s the record breaker for me😅

I get it everyday once a day ..in my profession being a massage therapist I see alot of women.. who are my age or younger than me. I'm 33 and if I say I have 3 kids they are just shocked ask me my age and say there is no way I can or I look to young to have any kids Its actually very exhausting it makes me feel like I'm not a mom I really dont know how to respond and I freaking hate when people say oh you will love it when you get older .Really ? When j was younger I was always accused of looking older and of being older for my age. I don’t know why but I was deeply offended by that. Now that I’m older, I’m accused of being younger than I actually am haha. So take it from someone whose been on both sides of the “you look so old” to “you look so young” I would just take being accused of being younger, more fun to see reactions haha

We went to the office for the first time recently (in a lonnngggg time). I caught up with one of my old managers and finally told her I was in my mid30’s and she was so shocked, she thought i was in my mid 20’s. She was respectful about it though. Everyone says I dress “so fancy” at the office but in reality, it’s east coast style in the west coast (everyone on the west is so casual) and it’s my way of representing my age.

In middle school, a creeper suggested I was in college while chatting with me. I showed my middle school ID and he ran. I was so offended that when I was young- due to stress- a lot of people assumed I was a short, older person. So when I've little to no sleep and/or am stressed, I don't look too hot. What’s funny about your video is this is my every day life lol. I was with my kids at an event for church to volunteer at a boys and girls club. Getting into volunteering for the community has been a long term dream of mine. I was so excited. After a full day of helping the church out and watching my kids, (all at the same time) there was this lady who was talking to a group of freshman college students that were volunteering for resume reasons, and she was asking them about school. While waiting on direction from the church my kids and I took a break near where they were standing. She then looked at me and asked what grade am I in. I was in disbelief that she just asked me that. 😂 One reason is because I was tending to my kids and she decides to ask me this random question about school and I’ve been got my degree years ago. The other reason being the volunteers were separated by the shirts we were wearing. All of the college students had on school shirts. All of the church members had on church shirts. I had a church shirt on, same as her, while holding a stroller that my kids were in and she asks me that. 🤦🏾♀️

27 with a baby face here! 🙋🏼♀️ Literally just yesterday, I was mistaken, at my 9 year old niece’s choir, for a teen, and was asked if I was still in school, and then (after saying no) asked if I was in college. I’ve not physically changed much from when I was 17.
Now, the next problem is that I like dressing comfortably. I nanny my nieces, so chasing kids around all day means I need to be able to move and feel comfortable doing so. And I’ve been wearing the same three hairstyles for over five years now (down, top bun, and more recently a kind of crown braid that starts on the opposite side of my face and hangs down on the other side). I’m forever going to look like a teen…

But just recently my friend (10 years older than me) told me that even now!!! I just do not strike him like my age. I have to say that I am so sick of people treating me like a child or a student… I am 33 years old, I have my own business, not married, no children, and people give me names like I would my very young 11 year-old cousins. It really drives me nuts… especially since I want my business to be taken seriously enough. An 18 year old girl I had an appointment with at my studio called me to ask me "my little last name" so she could ring "my little interphone". I imagine myself asking for a CHILD'S "little last name"… I would NEVER ask a professional his/her "little last name" O M G.

Mind you…I’m 5’0 tall and she was several inches shorter and looked even younger than me???? 🙄. I notice makeup makes a big difference. If I don't wear any, I look really young. I don't look young with sparkly makeup but it could be because I wear natural looking tones (browns, red etc) vs sparkly blue or something. Also tshirts tend to make me look young, same with most casual clothes in general. i don't sweat it too much though. I just turned 30 and the most surprising was someone refusing to give me my groceries (no alcohol or anything, just groceries!) which I guess you need to be 18 to receive. ridiculous!
I also think for so many women, it's just a height thing. for some reason we assume tall women are older and short women are young >:/

I don’t even think I have a baby face, I’m 22 and just seem to never look my age, when I was 13 people that I was 17-22, I would get hit on by grown men thinking I was in college. 15 and people thought I looked 17, by the time I was 17 I was told I looked 15, first time someone thought I looked younger not older and now it seems people think I’m forever 17. I get carded when my boyfriend doesn’t and I’m older than him. My customers ask me what grade I’m in but at the same time others ask me to go out for drinks. It seems split. I don’t look like I did when I was a teenager must people I knew then don’t recognize me. I dress and act more like a 22 year old, I can’t put my finger on why some people think I’m younger but a lot of people talk down to me and tell me “you won’t have to deal with this for a few years” when I already have.
