    Thank you for doing this video. I'm buying one for my hubby for Christmas but done really want to spend alot of money on a Cheetah Tank or a Bazooka Blaster. I was doing research on the Ironton one at Northern Tool but wasn't so sure it would work on the semi's tires. Ready to be done using starting fluid. Lol.

    One of the best air tank bead setters on the market is the NAPA brand . It is a quality heavy thick tank with a pressure vessel plate on the tank . It is expensive but worth it . These should be considered an air tank bomb .

    cage it and use either or hairspray. .works great. cage it or chain it l had a good friend killed doing this with out a cage. ln fact l was at a local garage about 5 years ago and a guy was pumping up a wheel barrow tire the spot welds let go and it blew up hitting him in the head l done cpr on him for 40 minutes till paramedics arrived we couldn't save him. it was just a 8 inch wheel barrow tire pretty harmless you would think.

    Summer time ,were is the JAG??
    time to go to track lol !!
    Starting fluid is the best , separates the men from the boys
    Seen a lot of people regret using the starting fluid

    Would a 10 gallon bead seater make it easier ?

  • @colinjohnson5515
    @colinjohnson5515 Před 5 lety +1

    I thought a cage was required for 18 wheeler bead setting. Is this systems energy so low it’s not required?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  Před 5 lety +3

      Tires should be aired up to pressure in a cage. Not really needed for setting the bead as psi in the tire is only a couple lbs at that point. But if a tire we're to be damaged or defective when it has 100psi in it could become a 120lb projectile

    • @colinjohnson5515
      @colinjohnson5515 Před 5 lety

      Ezrider92356 ah. Makes sense. My brother used to blow beads off of shifter cart wheels all the time but those tires don’t take 100psi

      @cbmech2563 Před 5 lety +2

      @@Ezrider359 I've read that at 130psi the energy in a 10 22.5 is about the energy equivalent of a 1/4 stick of dynamite.
      I do know that the lock ring on a 10 20 will go 50 ft and stick 4 inches into the corner of a 1/4 inch wall hydraulic tank (after going through 2 2x8s).

      @@cbmech2563 wouldn;t surprise me, compressed air is a giant spring. when things let loose under high pressure it is a lot of stored energy.

    Website called wish.com also sells them for 70 bucks plus shipping. I've also seen a road repair guy with a bazooka style blaster that might be easier to stow in a truck

    Why does it take mew half a day to remove 2 tires?? What Am I doing Wrong? I Get the old tires off kinda fast- But I have trouble mounting new ones- I have several Long bars-Box of Soap- All day it takes me- My Strength isnt what it used to be- But I hate Paying people to do it. Any tricks to help mew get them done faster?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  Před 5 lety +2

      the biggest mistake i see people make when mounting tires is not getting the opposite side all the way down in the drop center. many times ill stand or step on the opposite side of the tire to keep it pushed down in the drop center. here is a video i recorded a long time ago changing a truck tire i don;t really explain anything in the video but it may still be helpful. czcams.com/video/Wsjrw3OJ4KM/video.html ill eventually get around to making a video that actually explains how to do it...lol i recorded one this winter but i had to scrap it. changing tires is one of those things that can be 90% technique and 10% brawn or 90% brawn and 10% technique.

      @@Ezrider359 Amen. The number of people changing tyres of any type from truck to bicycle who don't seem to understand that the circumference of the tyre bead is smaller than the rim! Something has to give, squeeze your tyre into the deepest part of the rim and hey presto some "slack" appears in the bead.

  • @patrickcoyne1292
    @patrickcoyne1292 Před 5 lety

    wow i like that nozzle better some of the expensive ones the little welded on tip doesn’t allow you to stick the nozzle down in the bead enough. which to me is wasting some of the direct shot of the air. i might have to give this a shot.
