Still a relatively new player... My first ever scav raid on customs I one-tapped a giga chad with a Mosin because he failed to take the ~1 second to check if there was anyone hiding in the shipping container he passed 5 feet from. I made out with 60 some kg of loot. He was level 57, I was 5. Thus began my journey down the path of the rat.
Something you'll realize is the juiciest players are the most oblivious. It's a universal law of Tarkov.

I've seen this happen with my squadmates before so i assume it is server sided. My guess is that dude had the animation glitch and was actually playing normally. Not that it really explains WHY it happens, but I believe it is whar happened.
Still, idk why it is an animation even if afaik your character never holds their gun outside of a shouldered position so its a very bizarre inconsistency anyway

You know about the room in 3-storey directly above the one you always jump into, right? It's a breach door, but then you can shut it. Way better sight line on the car, esp for nades, and less of a funnel to get stuck in people realise from outside that you're in there. I'm sure you know already but I just never see you go in there is all

In case anyone was wondering and didn't know, if you're a scav and kill another scav after they shoot you you'll gain karma for killing a scav traitor.
But don't count on it working like that all the time. Twice I've killed scavs that shot and damaged me first this wipe and lost karma for it.

Scavs are so inconsistent sometimes
face shields in real life dont obstruct your vision like they do in this game unless something actually gets on them. Then they r a B**** to clean off.
Actually enjoyed watching you build up some Karma way more than the deception. Like when you do deceive it's great as well and you aren't a douche, but just saying actually sick seeing you be cool to people.
