I'm still a believer that someday we get a TF2 sniper as a Persona for Dota 2 Sniper. Hell, even his shard is now a perfect fit to swap to Jarate.

Considering it mostly practiced against itself with perfect reaction time and such, it does make sense Sniper would rise (given his mostly "undodgeable" damage). Still a very funny happenstance, we pubs were definitely right all along!
Also, I thought the reason illusions weren't allowed in OpenAI's games was to nerf the AI... Did I make that up?
Inconceivable how Sniper can determine whether a bracket is low skilled or high skilled.
Makes sense when you consider how simple he is. Positioning is so vital for him.

Sniper's gameplay centers around capitalizing on opponents' mispositioning and lack of coordination. This tends to happen more frequently in lower-level pub matches, making him a dominant pick there. However, in the professional scene, teams are highly coordinated, and players rarely make such mistakes, which is why Sniper isn't a common choice in tournaments. Additionally, Sniper appears to be designed as an entry-level hero with straightforward mechanics, offering limited opportunities for the kind of dynamic plays that are essential in professional Dota.
What about "opponent missposition" is capital of sniper? Capital of Sniper is actually opposite - his capital is his own position. And team should have a way to protect their position from enemy initiation, this why for example sniper extra good in pair with Disruptor who is best support for sniper (Provide vision, provide counter-initiation ultimate, provide initiation glimpse, have zoning tool in from of static field)
@@erfarkrasnobay This. Sniper lives and dies depending on his own position. That's why in order to play sniper well one must be very aware of distance and position - if you know the absolute minimum distance you can dish out damage while still being able to retreat, you will be able to play sniper well. If you underestimate the distance, you will lose many opportunities to damage enemies and possibly get kills. If you overestimate it, you'll get killed in a second before being able to do any damage at all
Is there any hero where you don't have to worry about your own positioning whilst also dominating teams who have good positioning? Don't think so...
Stop trying to be so deep. No mobility scaling adc = not a professional hero. Not a wild concept
Would love to see a video on Crystal Maiden and her uncanny ability to remain viable no matter how much she's nerfed or what the META is like.
I love her, she is always remained in the middle, neither bad enough to be considered dogshit nor good enough to be considered OP
because the kit design is perfect as it is - aura mana regen, low cd aoe+slow, low cd 1 target disable, and another massive AOE slow and damage. it is super generic and fits any team.
she's the support Spectre. No matter how much nerfs she gets, she will get nerfed and win

I know these videos will probably tend to favor 1s & 2s but i really am looking forward to some videos focused on the offlane! 3s and 4s need some love. I think Broodmother would be an interesting one since the threat of brood last picks has defined certain competitve metas. Enigma would also be an obvious iconic choice. Thanks for the videos Baumi. Since you talked about the pub builds... I wished you talked about the time right after aghs change (2019) where sniper was mainly picked in pubs as 4. And people were rushing tranquil into Aghs. Sometimes a rod of aton in between.

I'm living my dream and probably someone elses. games are just to help take my mind off of the slave grind of life. overwatch has been what i have been playing but i hate myself for playing that game after greed had ow1 deleted. its not the same game. coming back to dota is refreshing and im so glad it feels the same. map is new but oh well. feels like it did in beta and thats just a huge plus for me. Chess is my all time favorite game and playing dota always gave me that chess feel. I love it. Going to try not to spend too much time playing but the competitive itch is still there. dota still scratches.

There was a time that I wanted to play Sniper as a support in pubs, my idea was that I could focus on constantly harassing opponents during the laning phase with his extra range. The problem was, as you pointed out, that I'd be useless by mid- to late-game, even if I did make things a little easier for my lane partner. Even still, out of all the "right-click to win" heroes, Sniper was a little more fun for me to try out on the rare occasions I picked a carry.
i used him as support and he is my highest winrate hero at 58%, atos and blink and aganim is all you need, and since he can farm very fast using shrapnel its quite doable.

Man. Sniper, Techies, and Broodmother were my favorite dota2 heroes when I used to play (many) years ago. I'd love to see a brood video. I was never great at the game, but the fact that I could take some of my game knowledge from other games and implement them into a moba was amazing. All 3 just play so unique. Loved the techies video. Love this video. These heroes were the reason I put hundreds of hours into dota2 and no other moba ever got more than a few dozen hours

Fun watch! Just like to point out at 50:58 the take aim active doesnt double snipers total attack range but just the range given by take aim(so 200/400/600/800).
I grew up in the local internet café with dota 1 where Sniper was played with S & Y, Lothar's Edge, Buriza, Monkey and Rapier. Top it off with a Satanic and it's a wrap. Good times.
I didn't play Dota 2 since it's inception, but I surely remember Sniper being a menace when I joined, and to this day he continues to be an absolute menace when unpunished

there was actually a period where sniper could go mid maxing his q, building necronomicon3 with agh stun. it was actually good in pubs but never was famous. probably because people liked build more into carry. that was the moment i really liked playing sniper
