When you hear this song you are feeling like your floating on air, so beautiful, soft and gentle and soothing like so many of her songs. Just gorgeous!
I am from the same part of Ireland as Enya. I know her family. She epitomises femininity and beauty in today's world She is really a beauty.☘️☘️☘️
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
All her songs are hauntingly beautiful. She has a one of a kind voice, so pure and gentle.
Did you know that Enya produces, writes, sings, and plays the instruments on pretty much all of her music? Her talent is infinite and she is basically a musical angel or fairy or both!
Well, that's partially true. She shares the creative process with her producer and his songwriter wife (Nicky and Roma Ryan).
The inspiration of the video is the illustrations of the American painter Maxfield Parrish. Actually, all the sets of the video is based on his paintings.
Also, the "painting" effect was handmade, by ten artists painting non-stop for three weeks.
Fairy Queen of Ireland, is what you mean.
When he asks the question in the beginning during the song, her response was basically "shut up and just listen" 😂 I feel that way too with her songs. No need for commentary when your are being transcended out of your body into a paradise.
Lol I always do the 'Ah' part at the beginning of the song too each time 🤣
Love this. Gotta catch Orinoco Flow, Anywhere Is and On My Way Home
It is so great to find someone else that thinks this is her best song.
It’s one of my favorites, but there certainly are some heavy hitting contenders throughout her discography.
Great reaction friends ! This beautiful song means a lot to me because it was my church wedding entrance song 12 years ago ☺🙏
By the way, some people may not know this, but all the harmonies are not backup singers. She does all her backup singing herself prior to singing the main part.
Maybe you know this already but the video images are from art by maxfield Parrish an early 20Th century illustrator. In fact the dress she wears is also from a max field Parrish painting
Queen of England?? She's irish. Never ever compare the Irish to the English. 😂
@@cervecero6466 The English were celts before the Romans invaded, many of the English still have celtic blood. That's common knowledge
The tempo is 3/4, so technically is a waltz ladies and gentlemen. That’s why you feel like immediately surrounded by the atmosphere in this music: you’re invited to dance like in a waltz with your imagination. Feel the bass marking the steps and you’re dancing with Enya. That’s why I use to call her Genya not Enya: it’s incredible difficult to make a 3/4 waltz a blockbuster for the masses like she did.
I close my eyes and imagine that I am the only boat in the aqua blue ocean just flying along and endless path of water ...
The voice Ireland her and Dolores O'Riordan (the cranberries) are two of the best female voices I've ever heard, and they're both Irish
Love how Suzy sings along. You go girl! She so it more int it than he is though.
'How can I keep from Singing' is another great song by her.
I also like it so much. It's one of the very few songs not composed by herself, as "Marble Halls" or the traditional Christmas songs she has recorded.
That's interesting. I had forgotten she didn't write that song herself. She's considered within the contemporary and new age category but I always thought she had her own unique energy.@@leandrogasperi3669
When you here this you feel like your floating on air, so peaceful and tranquil
You need to check out Clannad "In a lifetime" Clannad is Enyas family band and extremely successful in their own right. She left Clannad back in the late 70s and went her own way.
this song is magical
She is always graceful and elegant. Almost 1950's style
Suzy, your imagination horseback ride has now been forever ruined by Travis, now you will only imagine swallowing fireflies. On the bright side (literally) your throat will glow like an angelic beacon in the fading light of the dusk.
Awesome reaction to a beyond gorgeous song and video!
Travis! Stop killing the vibe man!
She's my Celtic Queen lol. Love Enya's music. This os my favourite song and video of hers. Don't you just hate though how CZcams covers half the screen at the end of these videos with the suggestions for other videos to watch? Sometimes the last part of the video is a really important scene and screen pop up obscures it.
Enya é maravilhosa. Sou um grande fã de sua música. Vocês vão ganhar meu like por divulgar o trabalho dessa grande artista. Em minha opinião, esse é um dos vídeos mais lindos e bem produzidos da artista. E a canção certamente é a sua maior obra-prima.
Amazing song. I love listening to this at night in the dark, it feels like the music falls on you like gentle rain.
More Enya please. Boadicea is a beautiful song done the way only Enya can
Enya herself transcends beauty and melody. She ascended to a level thought to be exclusive to the realm of the angels. Her voice has a haunting melodic beauty than cannot and will not ever be reproduced!
You guys should react to the James Bond Themes. You already did "A View to a Kill" I think. Movie themes and music are great rabbit holes to dive into.
Yesss... great artist, great song! Even our fantastic EIVOR was covering ENYA's song - "May It Be". EIVOR's version also sounded in "Lord Of Rings" (if I am not wrong)
This particular video is inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Enya is dressed like a Pre Raphaelite woman.
Also one of the best and most original videos ever made. I always thought the song and video had an element of sadness and loss (esp. with the minor chords in the song).
That arpeggiated opening was made with the Juno 60 synth.
But the arpeggio goes right through the song, not just the beginning.
GET ON WITH IT!!!
LOVE ENYA, glad you love her too.
I didn’t even get to the song part yet and I love the banter between Suzy and Travis. I love her thought process and her imagination-world.
I grew up on Metallica, but I also went through an Enya phase. Good music is good music imo. It's a very Celtic influence, just like Metal. It's honestly the best music to just close your eyes and meditate to.
Phase? I still listen to her from time to time. When i need to relax
My folks raised me on CCR, Uriah heep, Tom petty , but also played lots of enya and Lorena mckennet who also rips , super eclectic mix and I’ll forever be grateful for it. Like you said good music is good music and you cannot deny a killer melody . I don’t think you’ll meet anyone on this planet who says 500 miles by the proclaimers is a shit song it just slaps way too damn hard 😂
There are secret messages in this video. Can you spot them? Hint, saucers, man in the moon, the finger of silence to the lips. The cosmic reference to space being Caribbean blue. Yea. many little hints there.
May it be and Wild child are my favs.
Obra de arte
Did you know about Enya, s sister, she is the lead singer of the group called clannad. Her name is moyai Brendan. They were a very famous group in Ireland and around the world. Check clannad the group out. 😊.
Wow thats your visualize when you listen to Caribbean blue while my emagination when i heard this song i visualize that i was inside the cathedral in a cold weather
Therapeutic music…my favourite
imagination! très beau!!!
Oh my god I love Enya ❤️
Thanks for this video reaction! You can search about the making of "Caribbean Blue video" if you like. For some images, I know that the inspiration came to Enya from some paintings of Maxfield Parrish.
Enya is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist all of the vocals on this record (actually on the entire Shepherd Moons album) are by her.
How often does one hear a pop song that's a waltz?
Travis is a bubble burster
JTLYK, I didn't click this video for your reaction, I just clicled this video because I wanted to hear this song.
Shepherd Moons was great. The title track was sequenced before this. I think the last 2 tracks were the strongest. African Winds and Thoughts (but I think they were translated into Latin and Gaeic language?)
Great reaction! I love Enya so much her music has such an ethereal vibe to it 😊 btw since you liked EXO can you maybe react to their new song cream soda? Its really sexy and fun 😏
Thanks Wolf Carers (please, not hunters 😢), fantastic reaction, it was so good that I HAD to subscribe. PS Enya is from Ireland, love from Ireland.
This song describes heaven
A'ha did videos vaguely similar to this in mixed live and animated (very different music but still fun vids)
BEAUTIFUL SONG BUT MY FAVORITE IS ORINOCO FLOW!! REACT TO THAT ONR PLEASE!! :)
Not English, Irish! She is an Irish princess, in my eyes.
Queen of England 😂 o no
A pair of dorks
GD good vid but y'all need to tone it back a bit...a lil more water next time? but not fire-water!
Take Enya, add Steve Martin and Victoria Tennant, and stormy weather, and you have what is to me, one of the most poignant film scenes of all time.
get a grip on it ?!
Adorava vocês mais é uma falta de respeito com a enya esse vídeo nojento
Como se ouvi enya algo tão mágico com ar de deboches 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Enya irish not english
God. Firstly 3 minutes of yak yak. Play the song! Try Googling too! Enya is Irish not English. Enya is the person, not the group. ffs.
Your wife is beyond gorgeous, you know that right.
if this song is not gonna be played at my funeral, I'm not going.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😢❤
