Best tactic I’ve seen is to go over with a hard hat, hi vis vest and a clipboard, to make yourself look like a surveyor or something

Greetings from the US. You asked in your video why people watch stealth camping videos. Even though I have never stealth camped, I am fascinated by the videos. Part of the reason I think these videos are interesting to many people is because they speak to a primal element of our humanity that has been papered over by highly-developed civilization. Humanity was “camping” long, long before we built cities. Once upon a time, stealth was more than just exciting - it was essential for survival.
Well, that’s just one hypothesis! It may be not be correct at all, but it’s an idea I have.

Because it’s risky and daring, and you are managing to find your own personal space in a very populated area - I personally would worry about the drunks more than being randomly spotted, but it depends on the location - I think I would take a camo net with me for extra protection from being spotted

Imagine doing a stealth camp Terry and you just found your spot and set up your tent and just opened your first can in your chair... And all of a sudden you hear EAR MATE ... You turn around and blot outdoors had set up his stealth camp near you 😂😂

Terry, you’d have been better off doing the roundabout at the junction of Stockton Road and Hallgarth Street. Not nearly as busy and more cover 👍

I did my 2nd stealth camp on the massive roundabout next to Asda chandler's ford (Southampton) I even took my 10 year old daughter lol she slept straight through. I did a recon the night before, cleared a space for my ground sheet (sharp twigs, flint and any bits of glass -as standard) to make it easier to set up. We both loved it. She even buried a time capsule 😂

That was the fucking best camping video I’ve ever seen, if you ever get to Australia give me a bell , we’ve got some great fuckin roundabouts here but you’d have to keep your eyes open the daft fuckers haven’t got a clue how to use them
