We had so much fun this weekend I had to split our video in two! We had such a great day enjoying the fresh air and spending some quality time together outside at the park.
In this video, you'll see our little one having a great time playing on the swings, sliding down the slides, and exploring the jungle gym. We even had a picnic at the lake and enjoyed some tasty snacks while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
We spent the rest of the weekend tackling daily tasks in our off-grid home.
I spent the afternoon cleaning up the back of the house preparing for our cabin renovation. We cannot wait to get started!
Living off-grid comes with unique challenges, but we enjoy the simplicity and self-sufficiency that it brings. We hope that by sharing our daily routine, we can inspire others to consider a similar lifestyle.

Hi! I’m Allie. My husband and I, our son Roan and our three dogs live off the grid in the woods of Kentucky! We moved to this family land that hadn’t been touched in over 20 years. We spent 2020 gutting & renovating this abandoned log cabin and making it livable with solar panels, rainwater catchment, and a wood-burning stove.
