British Pork Pie and Mushy Peas NO CURE!. This is one of those easy cooking experiences well worth making. Can be served cold as a light meal or snack - served warm. Up to you! There is one thing, these British Pork Pies beat any commercial factory-made Pork Pie Hands down! They DO NOT even come close to these British Pork Pie made at home! I’m making my pies the YORKSHIRE WAY no cure and with Mushy Pea and Mint Sauce!

Ingredients
650g Pork Mince
500g Pork Shoulder cubed small
½ tsp Thyme
1 Tsp sage
1 tsp Black pepper
1 ½ tsp salt
50g bread crumbs
1 egg to egg wash
Hot water pastry
600g All Purpose Flour
1 tsp salt
110g Butter
130g Shortening
200g water
NOTE: cook the pie if small for 45 minutes to 1 hour for large until a meat thermometer reads 65C. Check the internal temperature through the steam hole to reach the centre of the pie.

Wear gloves when you touch dead decomposing animal flesh; there many many consequences from touching decomposing flesh.
Im ok with making my food thanks - If you wear gloves in your house that is amazing and very well done to you.
There are also many many consequences to humans not exposing themselves to germs constantly. Washing my hands thoroughly for 50+ years and not a single case of food poisoning in our family yet, nor death from viruses & bacteria, nor any allergies in the family. The environment already has too many rubber & plastic gloves contaminating it.
I guess you aren't a Butcher ....imagine .
