@@GBelmont87 He definitely DID say fragments haha, but that's just a mistake on his part, as you need 38/50 fragments to be at level 16. He'd only be at Blessing Lvl 8, if he only had 16 fragments. Also, unless he upgraded it again after his initial reveal, he's actually only at Blessing Lvl 15 (just checked lol)
And just to top it off, Radahn grabbed him up and Miquella said “this isn’t for you lil bro” and kissed him onthe forehead. THAT command grab was a breaking point for me.

@HaseoofAzuredarkness sure so did RoB and Teche for 80% of the player base..you have so much crap at your disposal, why not use it? Why does he have the dragon katana (which is pretty much a gimmick weapon) just chilling on his back? I get it you want to look cool, bur there are times when how you look is actually effecting your gameplay. The added weights causing his stamina bar to deplete a little faster and make it regen slower because of the added weight. I get it he had the idea to use one weapon and then mix up up in the second phase. This is not the boss for that. He'll I had to make a completely different build than I ran the entire dlc/main game just to be able to trade blows and return damage cause you can't just roll and jump out of the way of everything.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. How stubborn is someone to just keep throwing themselves at something and think "yeah I'll win eventually".
@@kevinfortsch I'm going mad just watching him try the same approach which isn't working AT ALL, over and over like this, there are so many tools at your disposal, so why settle for backhand blades and jump attack? That build would require one to never get hit, cause a stagger will never happen, which is cool for some, but pushing impossible for most. I killed this mf in -10 tries on my unoptimized strength build, cause when I traded it actually mattered and pushed the fight along.

@@obiwanshinobi87 It seems like the best weapons to use against Radahn r poking type weapons. I saw LMSH use a poking weapon with rot or poison on it and he could get so many hits in between a lot of his attacks cos of how fast the poking animation is.
@@anonisnoone6125 It's the safest way to beat him.. I used Gaius spear with blood tax... It gets bleed damage every few hits and as you said you poke very quickly :D

I swear the secret to beating him is a 45-degree angle roll towards him to avoid damn near everything he does and sticking close to him (outside of the second phase moves when he blows up the screen and you just have to run away).
Distance triggers his most annoying moves and his AOEs always flow out so rolling back gets you hemmed up by the follow-up strikes (Ie rock stomp in first phase, and Light pillars after every swing in second phase).
Sticking close and patiently not trying to get a bunch of hits off. Its a war of attrition. You basically are doing everything you need to do. You just need the semi-perfect run.

If you wanna get a little tankier you might wanna go get the Opaline hardtear for your mixed physick bottle. Also for talismans the Dragoncrest greatshield and Golden braid will help out a lot! (armor helps too, but I understand if you wanna finish in your Elden Lord attire)

I recommend using the crimson seed talisman it makes healing feel soooo much better instead of double chugging. I never used to use it but started in the dlc and it's a chefs kiss.

After so many deaths (and its not even close to any amount of deaths to other bosses) this boss fight had me trying so many different weapons and builds over the span of days with breaks and in the end it came down to taking it slow with the colossal greatsword, one for me and one for my mimic.

I'm using the holy hammer you get from one of the armored dudes, together with the Ash of War from the Erdtree Avatar. Deletes Radahn's health in 3 charges so I can get to the second phase in about 10-15 seconds.

2nd phase was crazy
Afro just get (if have it) the Raptors of the Mist ash of war and equip it on a dagger and it cancels out the light nuke attack. You’re too far into the game but you get it from doing Yura’s quest and you get it at the Raya Lucaria invade part of the quest
If you dodge into him and to the left, you’ll be safe from most* attacks. For his one attack where he swings his swords from right to left at different times with one following a second after the other, you want to roll early on the first hit so you have enough time to dodge his second hit.
Edit: Just beat him myself! Out of flasks and at like 10% hp. Took me like 2 hours of learning his moves. Used Cold Milady and a brass shield from the beginning of the base game. Which has been my build for pretty much the entire DLC. It really is just patience and repitition. Greeding for extra hits is the #1 way to die. Same with panic healing bc it takes FOREVER.
Im surprised he didn't pull out the bloodhound yet. Bet this or other defensive ashes would work wonders here. Godspeed Afro.
