- On this episode of The Movie Podcast, Daniel and Shahbaz are joined by Maika Munroe and Director/Writer Osgood Perkins of LONGLEGS. In the film, FBI Agent Lee Harker is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes an unexpected turn, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again. Maika is best known for her roles in the horror films "It Follows" and "The Guest." Osgood is a Director, Writer, and Actor recognized for his work in the horror genre, including films like "The Blackcoat's Daughter" and "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House." He is also the son of legendary actor Anthony Perkins and photographer Berry Berenson. Longlegs releases exclusively in theatres July 12, 2024 by Elevation Pictures in Canada and Neon in the United States. @neonrated @ElevationPics

Oh my god I LOVED Smile 🥰. Sosie Bacon's performance was excellent to the point that I was rooting for her to break curse and be alive at the end but she didn't make it 😢. I'm now looking forward for the sequel of smile and Sosie Bacon next movie
Smile makes me and my bf fall asleep we tried watching twice gave up after the second time dont want to watch it a third time the trailer is better than the movie itself

Strong film. Being the “scariest movie of the decade” is a stretch. Not really what it’s going for anyway but it delivers the intrigue well.

This movie genuinely made me uncomfortable. You nailed it with the concept of not being able to sit still.
There was a moment where I tucked my hands in between my legs and the movie seat so I could feel like I was being held 😅
I love that you guys brought up Alan Wake because I thought the same thing!!! Especially when they brought out the flashlights, the lights felt potent just like in the games
my only exposure to longlegs before seeing it was seeing the trailer before midsommar in theaters and was absolutely horrified yet so confused. i’m so glad i didn’t see any of the other marketing so i had no expectations going in.
I have heard Longlegs from those who have watched it is getting rave reviews but everybody says its pretty disturbing
I hope it comes to my area. If it does, I am there. I love Oz Perkins.

I haven't looked forward to a horror movie since Hereditary. Unfortunately, for me, it was a total disappointment. I feel like I'm the only one that didn't really like it.And I loved Autopsy of Jane Doe, as well as Midsommar.
My fingers are crossed.
Y’all just hyping me up to see this even more, but I leave tomorrow to go out of town for work for a month, I just hope it’s still going strong in theatres when I get back 🙏🏼

Great in depth review! Is it true that in Longlegs is on the TV in the background whilst the FBI appear to be watching a video of him? Is this in the movie as one of the trailers seems to show this and he looks horrific!!

Not really trusting the reviews on this as people are saying really scary but then saying not scary but a thriller two different things 🤔
I think it's a general feeling the movie gives you. I heard this doesn't rely on jump scares. I saw a one minute clip and it was spooky as hell with no jump scare.
seeing it on Friday and after this .. I'm tempted to cancel my tickets but I ain't no bitch but I reckon I'll be looking under my bed and in my closet for years after I can't wait haven't felt like this since Heredutary whicg I saw twice wish me luck lol

Agreed. Talk To Me was well made and I dug it. But I don’t need to see it again.
Longlegs seems like a classic in the making. Something that sticks with you. True horror.

I had such high hopes for this movie, but it was so boring. Once they showed the villain, the performance removed any sense of dread, mystery, or anticipation. I should have known better coming from this director based on his previous work.
Crazy ending can't believe main character was actually long legs the entire time
Best part, T-Rex music. Not that scary. It was creepy. Nicholas Cage with Baby Jane makeup is genius. I think the lead playing Lee Harker was terrific.
Haha.. they watch me 24 / 7 .. not the police so much as people that keep breeding and can't afford to feed their children. Must be a nightmare they got to sit around listening to me fart constantly do random, pointless things. Wow.. hard money earned. LOL
