- Police are supposed to solve crimes, but the I-Team found thefts may have been happening inside one department for years, without anyone noticing.
He'll probably get a job down the road at the next police station
whole lotta corruption in Texas eh
Trump will give him a Cabinet Position.
And a promotion..
@@gersonhay984he lives rent free in your mind 😂
Hopefully not but your probably right sad to say
Another fine example of American "law enforcement"
It's amazing how the grand jury almost never indites a cop almost like the district attorney throws cases against cops to make sure there is never any accountability.
This is definitive proof the Grand jury is biased when it comes to law enforcement. Too bad they're so secretive, but you can't hide how many law enforcement officers have actually been indicted by a grand jury ... what ... none 😉 do an audit because that's impossible without corruption.
ZZZ.
That’s how it’s done. Tgey don’t want a smear in their records. Da needs to be arrested too.
The Grand Jury should be made up of citizens not more law enforcement or maybe we need to form our own Jury. People's Superior Jury... 💪🏿🪖❤️💪🏿
The worst part of this crime spree is the "criminal cases " that were dismissed due to "lack of evidence". Add "due to lack of the missing evidence" that no one had the integrity to talk about.
💯🎯💯
Grand jury chose not to indict why? Gotta wonder who the cops freinds picked for that jury?
how much hard evidence against him was there. we need to stop allowing law enforcmnent officials to resign until after the case is concluded.
Probably afraid their names will get out there and local law enforcement will make their lives miserable.
You don't cross the thin blue gang.
When the cops go on TV and announce a drug bust with 2 million in cash found just know that it was really 4 million.
Usual suspect.
Usual trite comment.
No it’s not. This guy is white.
@@AxtionMag You're right he meant to say the origin👱♂️l suspects ...the origin👱♂️l theives...
100, then they want to blame others to demean them, while hiding in plain sight themselves.
Yep, it was a human.
STOP 🛑 the CORRUPTION!!! WOWWWW
law enforcement in this state is so corrupt!
Starts at the top.....
It's corrupt every place in America with cops nowadays ???
There is a 100 percent probability that this is the case in every cop shop in Texas and the country as a whole
Great for your report but until this person spends 20+ years behind bars it means nothing to we common people.
3,000 destroyed items
+1,200 missing
--------------------------
4,200 month sentence
Yep!
It’s not the first department to have items go missing from the evidence room.
Happens in every department
@@ThomasManiscalco-cb9flthey are all members of the organized crime family known as the police union!
Nor the last.
@@sheckyfeinstein the police unions have just taken over, they don't answer to anybody for any reason.
They have pumped themselves up to Supreme Court status with no rules of engagement or accountability!
Mid 1990s my area formed a multi agency drug task force. Very successful. That was until an officer got himself assigned to the property room. He was dipping into the bags of snow taking a little out of each. On money, if the original count was 10,250, it was now 9,250, etc. Dozens of cases dismissed, a temporary dissolvement of the task force and area crime increased.
Will he have to reimburse the $$ he collected on "paid leave". Amazing how that could have lasted 11 months!! Paid long term vacations for being dishonest, go figure??
"Once he took one it was difficult to stop".....makes me wonder how many lives he has taken. I hope they delve further into cases he was involved in.
Like eating Pringles
Hope he tells the judge & jury the same thing!
The fact that they audited gives my hope. how many departments have no audits?
I feel like the police chief should be responsible for this in some way. How do you not have any checks and balances implemented to deter this before an audit? or a more regular audit? Someone should be responsible considering this is highly unusual for a police dept to have this much evidence theft.
Stolen guns, missing drugs....
...story of my life .
I have a weak bladder, this comment was not considerate of it 😮😂
Lmfao
The evidence cop and others need to be investigated thoughtfully and thoroughly!
Problem is that with all that thoughtfulness they figured out how the corrupt DA could convince a grand jury to not convict. Same old bs every time.
Someone or some group , really need to clean house in this department, all the way up to the chief ! This is totally UN except able!
Texas being texas
Texas needs the Ten commandments in the police station 😂
I almost choked on my coffee reading this 😂😂😂
"Without anyone noticing'. Yeah right.
Well when you let the unions and qualified immunity protect the blue line this is what you get.
🎯💯✔️
Don’t forget the suckers who back the blue. They’re the real reason cops are so corrupt and incompetent.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. This happens more than you would think across America
I wonder if the thief was the one who insisted on NOT having video surveillance cameras within the property room? Or knew where the few cameras were located and how to work around those. Can't just rely on audits a year or more later to find thefts like that.
Texas. I feel like I just watched an episode of Young Sheldon.
Isn’t stealing a firearm a federal crime?
He gave gifts to damn near everybody, almost the whole department is complicit.
The worst part is that he was on *paid administrative leave for 11 months where he made $51,776.92* just hanging out. Only worked 1 month for a whole year but made more money than people working full time jobs along with second side gigs on the side.
Biggest gang in all states.. 😐
2:03 A real Texan an honest woman
They didnt mention the stacks of cash missing
Didn't LAPD have a property clerk they hauled van loads of guns out of his house?
11 month PAID vacation while your crimes are "investigated" - which often means while the PD tries to obfuscate & avoid accountability.
Only LEOs get such sweet vacations!
Sounds like a criminal gang. Its hard to believe that some of his partners didn't know that something was going on.
What tyrant cops doing bad? You dont say. Sad we wont have police soon . People dont wanna be cops with the horrible public view of police these days. You can see the police dept numbers decreasing already all across the country.
Years? and no one noticed? Of course he was given a glowing recommendation.
Given the serious nature of going to prison based on evidence I would think the Chief and the District Attorney's Office should be doing random audits on evidence rooms frequently, very frequently. That should be an outside auditor as well so no buddy system can exist.
Why would his old department recommend him if he was under suspicion?
Organized crime
organized crime
As the drug war jobs program goes on.
Accountability for God's sake!!!
POLICE OFFICERS IN THIS COUNTRY REMIND ME OF CATHOLIC PRIESTS
Criminal cop you don't say
Nooooooo. Shocked.🙄
My lawyer said all cops take what they want from confiscated items they store in their department.
You’re not gonna stop it money is the root of all evil
Politician in the making.
And for every corrupt, crooked, criminal cop who gets caught (& actually prosecuted!) - how many dozens/hundreds get away with their crimes?!?
Golly gee I'm shocked shocked shocked
Just another "Highly trained professional, Hero 1st responder who puts his life on the line everyday"
And other such B.S..
I used to work for the City of Dallas for the building maintenance department. One of my buildings was the police headquarters downtown and several smaller police stations. Cops love to brag to each other and I got an earful when working in the locker room. From what I heard it's no wonder cops keep a padlock on their lockers!
"It's a hard lesson to learn that you can't trust people" wasn't for me. Learned that about 60 years ago. Especially when it involves law enforcement.
Abbott's Texas
Typical
Now Really who did the backround check???
Does this shock anyone. You never hold children accountable. Those children will keep pushing the boundaries until PUNISHED.
North Texas? Noooooooo. Say it ain't so.
It’s hard to believe that a man of the law would do these things😂
There seems to be a problem with all of them taking cash, debit cards, drugs etc
What about gun charges
When it comes to the police there needs to be an out of network prosecutor to put it bluntly not another funky telling them hey this guy just made a mistake somebody from another County
Prisoners reach out to innocent project quickly
Every government agency cost the tax payer , especially the police .
Lots of temptations !
Pay me good and I wouldn’t steal nothing
You mean it’s a shame
you can’t trust the police 😮
😊 QUALIFIED AMUNITY SUPERSEDES ALL LAWS 😊
never trust a cop who is paid to lie
Does the name Hernandez mean anything to you? I would like to get a connection made in the DA's office. Any imperfections would have to be made perfect. Two and two do not equal 4. Never confess ever.
As long as there is money in the world they will always always!!! Be corruption money runs so long that someone is held blackmailed amongst other things money has so many ways to corrupt a fellow human being . If we didn’t need $$ we wouldn’t be having this
Yes, it would be a nice cushy job running the evidence room if you were honest, but I think most people start horsing around with stuff in there because they’re bored❤
Where do you think cops get their drugs i mean up in smoke baby
If Depts ate forced by labor contracts to provide PAID admin leave - thwn there must be a claw-back mechanism to recoup those tax payerndollara from the convicted criminal!!! Shameful...
I would like to think most cops are fairly honest. However there always a bad apple in the barrel.
Why do you think they get all excited? When they catch people with large amount of drugs especially cocaine they are not destroyed ladies and gentlemen
Your own kind of working against you..😂😂😂
Carl Edison. - ' minimal supervision '. smh.
Good to clean house.
Policing for profit
Gun OCD.
TX? Who woulda thunk it?
That some cops are thieves isn’t in the least surprising. And many other cops just look the other way.
Respect them? FFS, WHY?
Surely not! A rethuglican cop?! Crooked and stealing?! OH my 😳
