      @@majutworks thanks for answer :) I have few more questions, Seiwa dyes making leather dry after painting? I using Fiebings, and leather is so dried after dyeing process, sometimes it cracking if I painting very thin pieces of leather for wallets etc, so I bought Seiwa, but don't know how to use it. And second question, many japanese artists dyeing their carved projects on leather, it looks so impressive, it's this same dye?

    • @majutworks
      @majutworks Před 4 lety

      @@gevarelghinn5297 After using Seiwa dye, dry it once.
      Alcohol-based leather is particularly susceptible to hardening.
      Depending on the leather, the softness can be maintained by imprinting the oil after drying or using a high-grade finish called urethane.
      I do not know the works of other Japanese artists, but there are three major types of dyes used in Japan.
      Seiwa Dye, Crafts Company, Lized.
      Kraft is a thinner liquid than Seiwa.
      Lized is still new and difficult to handle due to the high concentration of dyes used by tanners.
