I think they will bring the TUDOR “T-fit” clasp to the 58, metas certification will be added to the movement. Perhaps the burgundy color on the bezel and some design changes on the edge of the bezel. Like any other company they will like to keep their best selling model fresh and updated.
As a BB58 owner for over 3 years now, the only thing I wish it had is a better clasp: the star links that meet the clasp don’t fold, so the part of the bracelet that has the clasp is actually longer than the watch itself, which I don’t really like as it is not very comfortable. Secondly I wish it came with a new t fit clasp. In fact, if they could just, bring a new bb58 with all the new specs from the burgundy 41 ( jubilee, metas, different bezel and a bit thinner, t fit) it would be just perfect 👌🏽
Agreed on all these! The length of the bracelet is a sleeper problem that some BB58 owners including myself have brought up over the years; it'd be great to see them address it
No crown guards thanks. But I would like to see a classic profile bezel like the Subs from the 50's, throw in Mercedes hands and an 8mm crown and I would be a very happy man.
Great video, but I don’t think there is a whole ‘lot Tudor can do to create the demand or hype with just any number of minor adjustments to an existing line, at the moment. The demand is inherently linked to Rolex demand, so until demand increases again, Tudor demand will decrease. The only hope to create the hype/demand for the time being is in a new watch.
That is a very good point on the overall market outlook and I totally agree. I'm just hoping that as Tudor tries to do something about its brand positioning (whatever it is), we'll be able to get a few gems in the process :)
I spoke to the manager of a Tudor Boutique in Sydney yesterday and unfortunately he said that Tudor will definitely NOT retrofit a T-fit clasp to the current Black Bay 58. Lets hope he's wrong though.
No, no crown guards. The Pelagos 39 is the newer Tudor Sub. The crown will change and so will the bezel. The 54 has a great bezel. I think that the movement and fit is all that they will do but not until 2028.
A lot of your ideas essentially make the BB58 copy more of the Rolex design language. Also, it is a good thing as a consumer that there are no “chase” watches. The manufactured scarcity mentality damaged the hobby and flooded the market with flippers. Glad to see them wiped out now and the market return to some level of normalcy.
Do you have any good recommendations for third party high quality rubber straps for the BB54? I'm graduating from uni soon and will be getting the BB54 as a gift near the end of March in the stainless steel bracelet but the rubber option looks great too
Congrats on the graduation! I would recommend asking your AD for an OEM Tudor rubber strap as I've heard really good things about their quality; I don't think there are any other rubber bracelets for the 54 at the moment with the right end links and same look as the original one
@@oddpout Thanks man, I've talked to my AD and they said that the OEM rubber strap would cost like 700-800 bucks with the T-fit clasp. So.. a bit pricey and out of my budget especially after graduating for a strap for a watch thats being gifted to me haha...
I wish Tudor would return to being in the shadow of Rolex. Rolex dials, cases and bracelets are incredibly beautiful, and to me they cannot compare to any other watch brand. Call me boring, but the oyster case is in my opinion the best in the business. If they could rebrand many Rolex models as Tudor, as they did before, I would be very satisfied. I don't like the independent direction Tudor has been heading into and I feel they have cheapened their brand by being unique. Vintage Tudor is beautiful because it inherits so much of the Rolex DNA without the price tag and in-house movement. ETA 2824-2 is all I need in a three hand watch. I recently bought a used Tudor Prince Oysterdate from 1989 and I am stunned by it every time I take a peek at the time. It is so gorgeous and cannot be compared to the modern Tudor releases
I agree that there were some absolute gems created during the days where Tudor hid behind Rolex's shadows! While there are still a lot of great watches in Tudor's lineup today, I feel like a lot of them have purposeful shortfalls in some way to avoid brand cannibalization
That’ll never happen. They have their own identity and direction now. The metas certification, which is arguably better than what Rolex offers for their watches has cemented Tudor as a brand with vision and power.
The Blackbay company makes watches called Tudors.
Unbelievable but true.
LOL

I do hope to see the T-fit clasp and as many updates made as possible!

I am not interested in metas, but if the blue 58 had a better clasp, less text on the dial and blue lume, I’d buy it tomorrow.
Both of those things would make that watch even better 😊
Call it what they want, I would like to see a Tudor 40mm Submariner.
No crown guards thanks. But I would like to see a classic profile bezel like the Subs from the 50's, throw in Mercedes hands and an 8mm crown and I would be a very happy man.

Nice video. I wanted to like the P39 so much but it falls flat for me. Agree with you that a dive watch should not have a sunburst dial.
I'm glad you share the same sentiment. I really tried liking the watch as well

I hope so too! Or if they make any other changes that'd be amazing as well
If they would add the T-fit clasp, get rid of the fake rivets and add a date I would 100% buy one
Not me. Not until they put a red text 'Submariner' on the dial. Otherwise no sale.
You bring up a good point - I've never thought about there not being a "Date Black Bay" until now...!
Adding date is a deal breaker.
Rolex will never let that happen these days @@bigmacdaddy1234
@@xchazz86then buy one of the other 400 black bay models without one. Atm only the fat bay steel has a date and no mid sized options
Uncle Straps makes half links for several Tudor models including the 58..
I used Uncle for half link for my BB54, fits perfectly
Best brand to get as we can get a new or near new one at up to 50% discount off RRP from profile builders ❤
For sure!
Tudor Black Bay 58 big crown, so no to crown guards, yes to new bezel and the T-fit bracelet. Maybe date at 6,oclock

I would be very disappointed if they get rid of the rivet bracelet
All I know is I want a BB58

They will make a BB58 with METAS, and T-fit clasp. And they will probably raise the price...again.
T-fit clasp AND half-links, lose the faux rivets, and at least one version with a white dial.
A white dial would be wicked cool!

In reality price increase is inevitable with updates.

In Soviet Russia; Black Bay “Tudor” you! 🤨 😂
