  • 👉The birth of Impressionism in Paris in 1874: a revolution towards modern art
Today I'm taking you to the exhibition: "Paris, 1874, Inventing Impressionism", which runs until July 14 at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
It was only logical that this exhibition should be held in this museum devoted primarily to 19th-century and modern art.
This museum, inaugurated in 1986, was originally the Gare d'Orsay, but also served as a set for several films (including Orson Welles' adaptation of Kafka's The Trial), as a performance venue for the Renaud Barrault theater company, and then for our auctioneering profession, during the reconstruction of the Hôtel Drouot.
This is an exhibition proposed by the museum to mark the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition, recalling the circumstances of this major event and showcasing the pictorial styles of the period.
So before I give you my opinion of the exhibition, I'll go back over the origins of Impressionism and try to help you understand how Impressionism literally opened up all the avenues of modern and contemporary art.

Il y a une exposition sur Berthe Morisot au musée des Beaux-arts de Nice jusqu’ au 29 septembre.Cela concerne essentiellement des œuvres de l’artiste sur la cité des anges!
