- This week we will focus on a technique I learned back in architecture school called "Rapid Sketching". Its a great, simple exercise to sharpen your live drawing skills and can be practiced for less than a minute a day!

I'm 30 and about to pursue a degree in architecture. I definitely needed to hear this.
Good luck!!
All the best
youre 30 and just a degree
same here, intending to! age doesn't matter as long as there's a will yeah :)
youre doomed bro
I have been an Architect for 14 years, and I LOOOVED this approach to sketching! Wow, Thanks!
Thanku for this video... 😊
L hey, i want to study arquitecture but i don’t know if, after that, i’ll like the career.
Could you tell me something to help me to be more confident about it? Ajaja sorry i don’t speak English very well
this exercise really suits me, it helps to get rid of fear and the hand draws more confident lines each time when sketching
Freshmen in highschool here, my biggest ambition is to be an architect in the uk or saudi arabia (both of these places just give me nostalgia) and I want to start my lifelong dream right now, and watching your videos help me alot! I know I don't have to start this early, but in my view, the earlier, the better
great work and support to architecture lovers and sketchers ....we all appreciate it...and the the modmin challenge is like cherry on top
Thank you so much for this tip - it was very helpful to see you set the timer and draw the same thing several times in a row - like sports training, I'm sure that rapid-fire repetition will be really helpful to build my skill, if I have the discipline to listen to the timer :)
This is the best advice i could find so far...my sketches are horrible, even stick ones (i never really draw..but i always sketch for some reason or another) so..thank you
Thank you I was always looking for a good start and I definitely find it over here.
Brilliant idea, it will help to start focusing on the details of these small items which allow us to get used to focusing on the details in general and that is what makes sketches good. Thanks for this video it is helpful.
I am going to try this now, thanks for the encouragement.
Really great videos. Helped me in my interior design program sketches at uni.
I have never thought in something like that.
Thanks for the video, and the channel.
Amo este video en serio esto es justo lo que buscaba, Muchas gracias. No estudio arquitectura pero lo practicare todo los días.
its good to see Singapore, that quick sketch of a dude sitting on the MRT looked so memerable
Dude... this is amazing!
I just watched your vdo and the idea of picking up any object and skecting it in a min or two seems to be extremely interesting.
I being a school student aspire to be a future architect.
And i think this will help me improve sketching.
Please keep on making such videos which will help us improve skecting and visualising.
Thank you so much for this!!

Turns out if you can't draw it's not because you lack talent but because you lack courage. No truer words...
So it's basically croquis.....

If you sketch, do not sketch like this all the time. I have been sketching the last 10 years or so, if not all my life. Sketches should be appealing and or with energy. What you are trying to say is yes, capture the feeling but by drawing loose lines on strict objects other that somes stricts lines make your sketch completely unappealing. I liked your general pose sketches but even those should be more structured. try to fit everything in simple forms other that lines that are overlapping each other without making "sense"
