It amazes me in these shows they never go about having their children tested for reasons for behavioral issues. these shows treat every infant as an animal which can be systemically tamed rather than a living breathing person with unique emotions and needs.
There was an episode where they wouldn't let an autistic 4 year old eat dinner until he said words. Absolutely fucking vile

Alex’s new moustache is making me feel every possible emotion at once.
I have 3 kids and one on the way. I think a lot of it is just bad parenting. You don't need to be strict to have your child listen to you, but these people never follow through with punishments so they kids know it doesn't matter what their parents say.
My kids are really well behaved compared to other kids in their age range, they were all still wild toddlers but once that understanding and communication came in we manage to figure out a way that works for our family.
I thought we were all gay 14 year olds.

@@craigtrish2011 nope, parents are the ones that have to deal with problems lack of parenting causes. I don't go to people and tell them they are doing it wrong but I will comment on a show. We are all just doing out best at the end of the day.

I think watching super nanny is enough to turn anyone away from having kids. But for those who still want kids just remember that children aren’t born crazed monsters. The children in super nanny behave the way they do because they’ve had a lack of discipline and been allowed to run wild their whole lives. That being said it’s not easy to raise even the best of kids. I have two young sisters who I love with all my heart but some days they make me want to rip all my hair out.
Also I’d like to say I disagree with hitting kids in almost every scenario but I have done it before. For example one of the kids had an issue with pinching her sister really hard to the point where it would leave a bruise. We tried to explain to her how it hurts and she wouldn’t like it if it was done back to her, but kids (especially younger ones) are inherently selfish and struggle to empathise with others if they haven’t experienced it themselves. So I pinched her back. Not hard enough to leave a mark but hard enough for her to cry out. It got the message across just fine and she realised oh shit doing that actually hurts, I shouldn’t do it to my sister.
That being said if you straight up hit your kids as punishment you’re an awful parent who doesn’t know how to regulate their emotions or actually discipline.
