Talk of gold price manipulation is proving to be not so crazy says E.B. Tucker

- The disparity between the physical bullion and paper gold market could point to price manipulation in the markets, this according to E.B. Tucker, director of Metalla Royalty & Streaming.
“The difference between the price [of gold] in New York and the price in London was $70. What that says is that the people that have been arguing about manipulation in the gold market and talking about that for years is not as crazy as we once thought,” Tucker told Kitco News.

Paper gold is a construction to dilute real investment in gold, price of gold would be higher if you could only invest in physical

I measure my stored wealth in oz’s, silver is also a good option for people to start in metals and build up. If you can’t hold it you don’t own it! 😉👍❤️

Everything including news and information is manipulated. Oil and energy as well.
Any time you can buy and hold physical gold and silver do so. Premium or not. Holding it physical will always be better than holding it in paper, or not at all.

I have a feeling that the value of the gold and silver will elevate with the inflation so it's not gonna be higher in value than now .
Completely agree with EB Tucker re not paying excessive premiums which will eventually come down and mining stocks should really only be considered when the stock market bottoms are near enough reached. Something we said a month ago and pleased at last kitco are now interviewing someone intelligent rather than just a pumper trying to talk up their book.
Gold should be about $20,000
Talk up those royalties especially since you have them to sell.

I find that 2 times during the day in Australia around 4pm there will be a sharp drop in price. and around 11 am.SUCKS
The major issue for us here in aussie is the strength of our dollar to the US. Our mines are still operating and who is this guy? A doctor now????

I bought silver at $4/oz in 1993. When it's worth $1,000/oz you'll all be sorry you didn't buy it at the current price, even with the heavy premium.
Got gold in a Physical ETF. As long as the custodian is solvent I'm confident I am "a have". If things get so bad that you lose your paper gold, that's end of days stuff and I'll be spraying silver paint in my mouth shouting "witness me!" First world problems for now.

Someone please explain to me why anyone would want to trade their gold for my worthless paper money? I was told that paper was the only medium of exchange but that still doesn't answer my question. It seems to me that the gold is not worth more...it is that the paper is worth less.
Just considering the law of supply and demand, gold should be at two thousand and silver at twenty five...and climbing!

Can't take advantage of a manipulated price down ward if there's no physical to buy. Meaning if you have the physical you can sell it at your naming price ..

Ever since the crash in March I’ve been watching commodities channels. Not knowing enough about trading I decided to wait patiently and learn. So instead of gold and silver is going to rally... now what I’m hearing is that these things are manipulated. What? Why the change? Is it because it didn’t rally and brokers need to come up with an excuse? What’s really going on?

I agree with EBs strategy but not so much in favor with his stock selections. Aside from gold i also own white gold which is basically gold dipped in chemically engineered solution so yea physical is the best bet. The gold market hasn't broken targets of 1700 consistently so it might take months for it to reach these levels maybe the end of the year..nov or dec.
In my honest opinion 1700 is the target but with other higher priorities given the circumstances right now healthcare and everything related it is the top priority, even for short sellers!

What are Royalty Shares, and where do you get them??
Royalty companies are actually the companies that finance the mines. They dont spend money for the operations. They get a 1% royalty of everything that ever comes out the ground on assets they own in that mine forever (gold, silver, copper, etc) so they usually always show a cash profit in their balance sheets. Streams are when they get the metal out the mine at a great discount price (they pay like 30% of the spot price) and then sell......Oh and its only like 6 of them...they are listed on NYSE (biggest one is Franco Nevada. Eb here is a mid junior of a company called Metalla royaties........Free game for the day...Your welcome :)

I prepared correctly according to EB Tucker.
Tucker, you're down 17% ytd. Even physical gold is up 8% or so ytd. I will invest in physical and Pure Gold, which has the same advantage as Metalla (gold still in the ground) but has not had to shut down a mine because they are building it up in Red Lake as we speak, and when it hits production in Q4 will suddenly get noticed. Problem with the royalty companies is they inherit all the problems of the miners they bought a stream from (financing, production delays, etc) and don't seem to go anywhere for years. Look at Sandstorm.

Wow. I just lost a lot of respect for E.B. In the past, I liked his advocating for companies in the space to start paying dividends. He was all over the place in this interview. At first he says you should buy physical and avoid paper. Then he says he trades in futures contracts and that the line has been crossed as far as dealer premiums are concerned and consequently he would not buy physical gold right now. He also thinks that once supply increases, premiums will decrease. Why would they? If dealers know they can rip customers off, why wouldn't they continue to do so? Furthermore, mines being shut down have little to do with lack of supply. Mines don't increase the overall supply of gold that much in any given year. I've noticed a common theme among people in the gold space. They all want you to avoid ETF's. Gold dealers want you to avoid ETF's because they can't rape you on premiums when you buy an ETF. They obfuscate; they want their customers to believe that a gold ETF' is the same thing as a gold futures contract- "paper gold". When a dealer tells you that they cannot deliver your physical gold for over 28 days, they must legally hold a license to sell futures contracts because that is exactly what they are selling you. Dealers want you to believe a gold ETF like GLD or IAU are the same thing as a futures contract. They are not even close. People need to research the difference. Physical dealers need to stop misleading the public and ripping customers off with their inflated premiums.

Silver manipulation is insane. Buy at $30, sits under $20 for a decade. So many sold out at a loss. During the Bitcoin decade made it that much more frustrating. Whoever is behind the manipulation should be in prison for life.

The real reason why gold dropped was due to UHNWIs losing their bet in the market crash and couldn't sell their real estate to raise cash to pay back the banks. Gold has more liquidity than other less convertible assets thus gold price took a hit. Then of course a bunch of guys who were shorting stocks made a lot of money too but afterall fiat currency is just a bunch of numbers printed on paper. That's why physical gold always has the last laugh in these situations

Gold price has gone back to normal so why the heck the premiums are still way to high ? .before this virus event started and at this same price today the premiums was not this high so are the dealers looking to make more money off us ? JM bullion has some gold coins but premiums are too high.

Can somebody comment on the vanishing of silver dimes for over a month on all the major dealers. Usually junk types return within a few days if they run out. However junk silver seems to be the only thing for sale at 7$ premium except for dimes. They are on ebay but its questionable.
