Yeah, I honestly think it’s stupidly designed that the tanks are this broken. Imagine a character who is stronger and tankier than everyone else with more range who excels at controlling space in a game about controlling space. That would be stupid. Especially a tank who can fully heal every 6 seconds and while healing he has 50% damage reduction and can move. Especially if that tank happened to also have the strongest potential damage output in the game. Especially if that tank also had a ranged move, like, I don’t know, a hook, which could travel the same range as Reinhardt Earthshatter and if it grabbed someone they just died even at full health. And hitting them gave 25 percent less Ultimate charge. And their only weakness is that they’re big. And they have 700 health. And their secondary fire is a sniper rifle of a weapon. That would be stupid. And broken. I’m glad that’s not a character.

Hot take: if team diffs can happen in high ranks and you lose even though you were playing good, the same shit can happen in low ranks. Never understood telling people that they aren’t climbing bc they suck when sometimes it really is just unbaked teammates sinking the ship

I believe the reason that "team diff" isn't emphasized in lower ranks is really just about self improvement over team blaming. Lower ranked players need to almost exclusively work on themselves because they're not nearly as good as they think they are. High ranked games hinge more on teamplay because your individual play should already be up to par.
I dont think anybody who says you will climb if you dont suck, think team diffs NEVER happen and you can 1v5 every game. The point of it is that if you're better than the people youre playing with/against, then over the course of some amount of games you're going to go up in rank. Nobody is stuck in a rank because of team diffs, its just statistically impossible if you play any significant amount of games during a season that an OVERWHELMING majority of those games are your team's fault you lost, and you didn't play a part in the loss. However, yes you do lose games because your team sucks, but it isnt keeping anyone who plays enough games for these things to average out in a lower rank.
@@selearth3123this. So many people think that saying you will climb if youre good and that team difs cant happen are the same thing when in reality they are completely different. Team difs can happen but if you are better than average for your rank your team will be on average better and thus you will climb over enough games.
