In my opinion King Inertia used up his two best tried and true sets vs Helium in the first round. If Inertia could have saved on things might have turned out different. Helium was an undercard that came to play so Inertia pulled out his best stuff not wanting to get eliminated first round. Helium didn't win the battle but wounding the king cost inertia in the end.
It felt like Colaps in GBB21 played it best. He had a bunch of material prepared and used it very effectively against his opponents. Even when facing River in the finals, he had two great routines ready to go.
D-Low said it best for me: Inertia had better arrangement and crowd pleasing moments but lacked in technicality and consistent tempo, whereas Helium was top tier in consistency and technicality but suffered from very random and jarring arrangements of each piece of his set. I like that D-Low said it was a tough choice because he had to consider many different things about what each style is trying to accomplish. I also think a lot of Americans (like me) easily vibe with bass heavy music and don't quite understand the intricacies of judging beatbox.
AR knows how we feel now as we wait in anticipation for him to get to the best parts. I could see the anticipation in his eyes as he waited for BP to get to that last drop ❤
that footbox gbb21 run was nuts, he was practically a substitute contender too because some competitors dropped out and Footbox was a close runner up to winning a wildcard spot. He was GBB21’s dark horse

Dlow Bart were badass zekka i mean it was fucking great quality wise it wasba little different bc it was during covid and so they were able to havr time between rounds to come up with self produce and or like very polished routines and i mean there were so many bangers coming outbof sbx kickack
not really, they had one day to respond to what their opponent gave, and the mixing was done by Sinjo, so yes they still had a bit of time pressure and ofc it’s different from live battles. KBB was amazing

I think over the years, GBB became more popular and higher level than World Championships because GBB is wilcard based. With World Champs, the level in certain countries isn't as high as others, or the best in that country who is GBB level didn't do the national championship that year so they don't get to go to Worlds. The best still made it to the top of the Worlds bracket, but with a top 32 battle and a lot more doing eliminations, it took longer and didn't seem as interesting right away.

Instead of the one you uploaded a handful of times. And then commenters would get into it with each other about technique.
You guys HAVE to watch Napom’s elimination. As much as this was amazing and seeded first for me Napoms was better - it was an absolute Masterclass with some great moments 👌
KI is more technical than many people give him credit for, but you're correct anyway bc he's nowhere near the level of Colapse or D-low in terms of technicality. Where he shines is in the power of his Inward bass and simplistic beat selections, which are enough to give him an edge in most battles he might find himself in.
He's gotten a lot better but I agree. It's just an easy style for us to get in to. For such a hiphop style, I'm shocked that Inertia has such a bad internal metronome. His tempo is always all over the place.
@@DJKuroh I wouldn't agree with "always" since the majority of the routines i've heard from him are pretty consistent, but that being said, there are instances where I get confused by the tempo bc he probably messed up. I agree that hip hop (or trap) is a great beginning genre to start with for beatbox, and for that, KI is a fantastic introduction to the world of beatboxing. Although, I sometimes feel that KI is a bit overhyped - Vocodah would probably be a better fit here, since KI can get pretty dry pretty quickly.

It was like when dubstep was getting huge and EDM fans were annoyed by the newer fans who only cared about The Drop, and if a song didn't have one, it was labeled soft or mid. That's Inertia for me. Not that dubstep is bad, I love it, but that he represents a kind of sub-genre that more reactors need to push past into the wider genre of beatbox.

Colaps took the pandemic and grinded in the lab. Once 2020 was scraped he stopped making gbb content and focused on securing the bag for 2021.
