Probably all Eugenia can manage. The mother is doing what many moms do with their 3 year old. Tailoring the experience to their developmental level and attention span. This young woman is disabling herself and eventually will kill herself, and I'm guessing the mother has come to terms with that already.

The copper pots on the stove are from a brand called Ruffoni. One soup pot retails for $800. She has 4 or 5. That's why she keeps them sitting out on her stove instead of neatly tucked away in a cabinet. It's a flex.

The amount of times my jaw dropped while watching this video. From her not knowing how to crack an egg to not knowing how to open an oven to the constant body checking and lastly her mom rejecting her hug in the end and Eugenia saying sorry afterwords. Itâs is so crazy. I was deeply uncomfortable by this video.
I wish I could hug her. The end of this video was sad. She seemed very excited about the cake and wanted a hug. Was soon rejected by her own mother like wtf.

â@Flosi sadly the goal is usually always lowered with anorexia sufferers, it may start out being oh just to this specific weight but when they reach that usually they want to lose more, it's sad really. There will be people who have a set weight then stop but that wouldn't be anorexia nervosa it would be another eating disorder. Mostly in anorexia they have body dysmorphia so they still see fat when there's none and constantly keep getting lower. Or they'll have a weight that is completely insane in mind and just not feasible when you take bone weight into consideration. Everyone is unique though defo!

i think it's quite the opposite, that's a behavior someone does when they have a disorder (especially a ed or ocd but I think it's clear it's the first one for her) to gain control over something, she seems oppressed by her mother and like her body check is the only thing she can have control over

Unfortunately, youâre probably right. My parents neglected me emotionally and I ended up being shy around everyone. I would cry and my mom told me to shut up and as a result I always find it really awkward to try to comfort someone when they cry. Thatâs just a little piece of how bad it can beâŠâŠ. I think deep down she just wants someone to actually love her so she tries to be and look perfect, even though in her mind she might not be. Iâm kind of the same way except now Iâm slowly figuring things out. I didnât want to believe that I was abused by my parents. Actually I didnât even know what emotional neglect was. Iâm not even mad though, just trying to pick up the pieces you know. I hope everyone in this situation finds the way out.

All this about the mom being in denial. Maybe she is heartbroken with worry and just trying to be a part of her life to whatever capacity Eugenia allows her to. We all have people in our lives that are sick and not willing or able to accept help and not every interaction you have with that person is you trying to convince them to get help. We took him abroad to places he wanted, we spent years finding the right medications for him, and he was slowly getting better but then he refused to stop putting in effort and is now back in bed. If people were to come and visit my mom and saw him in bed all day they would call her a horrible mother not knowing how much she's done for him. In the end, to help someone, they need to want to be helped by putting in the efforts too.
