- We longed for some beach life in Cambodia and visited Koh Rong Sanloem for that. The island is known with the large neighboring island Koh Rong as Cambodia's island paradise. But on site we were surprised because it came differently than imagined.

My wife and I were in Koh Rong Samloem in November 2022, and no one told us about the large amount of rubbish on the beach and we were very disappointed. We really appreciate your video which shows the bad sides , despite everything Cambodia is marvelous and our memories of this country are extraordinary.

Nice video. I am going to Cambodia next month for 2 weeks. ur videos and short crisp and to the point. Can you tell me how many days are sufficient to explore koh rong sanolem mainly beaches. your wife is very pretty and has nice smile.
Thank you! We spent there about one week which was definititely long enough. Since you are going to stay only 2 weeks in Cambodia I would recommend to keep it shorter on the island and explore other fascinating places on the mainland. Thank for visiting Cambodia but i think you may visit in a wrong season that’s why the sea water is not as clear as I have visited so many time. And if you like interacting with local people you can go to Koh Rong island instead, at there you will find a lot of beautiful beaches with more things to explore.
Thank you for the clarification. It may well be seasonal, but in our case we definitely found too much trash. The resorts could make a better effort to keep the entire beach clean and not just sweep in front of their own doors, literally. And while they're at it, they shouldn't leave the piles on their own section of beach after cleaning anyway, but clear them away completely. Season or not, for the money and the image that the resorts enjoy, most of them have rested a little too much in our opinion. Next time we would definitely try our luck with the big brother island Koh Rong. ☺️
When is the best time to visit Cambodian beaches?
November to May is a good time with sunny weather. Keep in mind that December to February is high saison, which means also higher prices.

You said you can't afford how expensive was the resort accommodation there?
Since we are full time travellers we try to travel cheap. Our resort was about $35 and was one of the cheapest we could find.
