Awesome to finally get to go along with you in the field
Thanks Chaz! We have so much content of my hunts, but not vids of hunts themselves...for the most part!
You are probably the most knowledgeable outdoorsman out there. You are amazing at your herd/land management and even great on public land. A true legend!
Yes this is cool! Do more of this please. We have learned to trust you and even buy seed from you. We see the footage and know you’re not just some salesman. Getting to watch from the trees along with you is something we didn’t know this channel was missing. Thank you for the education you have provided us. My 200 acres is thriving with wildlife and mature whitetail from many lessons you have taught me.
Thanks so much Joe and I love to hear that about your land! I will do my best to keep them coming all season long 👍😊
Yesss would love to see live action from you in a stand!!
Hi Jeff. Love seeing these short clips of your hunts!
Thanks love seeing footage of your hunts
You are very welcome...I love bringing it to you!
Glad to see your hunts! You’ve changed my land management and hunting methods! Thank You!
Thanks a lot and man...I love to hear it!
Thanks for all the great advice you give! Its improved my hunting outcomes tremendously. Loved the footage keep it coming!
You are very welcome I really appreciate you being part of the channel!
Yesss bring us as many as you can!!
I will do my best! Hopefully you will like some from years past?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 it's one thing to watch listen and take in all the information and knowledge you spring out to us. But to see it all work and come together with you from the tree makes it all even better! Excited to see everything you've got for us!
@@seldomseen_outdoors well I really appreciate that...I will bring you more for sure!
Hey Jeff, thanks for the video. I have the same type watering source. Placed a 4 ft limb or old untreated board in it for critters to climb out. Thk u
Works so well!
Good to see you hunting and seeing bucks!
Oh for sure Isaiah! I hope you are too!
I've been watching you for years and I love it when you show your hunts!
Sweet Jeff! Weather has been good couple of my great deer up and moving also!
That's awesome! This weather really has them moving. Thanks a lot for watching!
Enjoyed this and look forward to future hunts. Cheers and good luck this season Jeff
Thanks a lot ..good luck to you!
This was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks a lot I really appreciate you watching...fun times!
I have got to put in a water hole. I should have this year with the drought we're having
They work so dang well!
Such a great sight seeing some of your techniques in action! Would absolutely love to see more
I really appreciate your comment, I'll do my best to keep more coming!
That was awesome Jeff 👌
Too cool!
Thanks James!
Awesome Jeff!
Thanks s lot Isaac!
Would love to see you film all your hunts!
I do a lot of times...but doing it differently this year 😊
you have great restraint my friend that's a shooter in my neck of the woods.
He certainly is a shooter in most woods! We just work so hard we aim for 5 year olds. Well, at least I do 😁
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 you do a great job
Awesome encounter! Thanks for sharing Jeff!
Thanks a lot Peter it was pretty cool!
Beutiful encounter
Do you ever clean out your water holes?? Clean out old leaves and branches??
Just rake them out once a year and we add water once in the summer if needed...sometimes in the early Fall.
Jeff we have lots of small creeks and a couple ponds and cedar swamps on our 250 acre parcel, what are your thoughts on artificial water holes on properties that have an abundance of water?
Hi Nick...it's all about how dry the bedding areas to food source movements are. If you have those dry locations where you can add a waterhole to keep deer from going out of their way to it...perfect!
Found a huge bedding area yesterday. Too bad the land was only open to bird hunting.
That's sweet
Very enjoyable 😊
Honest question. I am not against baiting or watering holes but I have seen the argument come up where if bait is illegal how are watering holes like that any different? It is unnatural but still going around the bait law. How is this different than baiting? Thank you and happy hunting
Do i need to bury my water tanks in North Central OK? Hunting an old crp field with sparce fragmented cover, surrounded by ag and pasture.
How do you fill the water hole
That would've been tough to pass on that guy. My target buck is an 8 pointer about the same size as this buck. I think I've decided on "Stubbles" as his name. His tines are kind of like little stubs compared to my other bucks. His main beams are pretty long with alot of mass
Very cool...I like that name 😊
He is a beautiful 4 year old but I'm definitely after 5 year olds here, or older...
What brand stock tank is that? How many gallon? Looking to upsize from my 60 gallon but most bigger ones I find just go deeper
That is a 300 gallon Rubbermaid. 25" deep which is perfect for fighting off evaporation. I would recommend a minimum size of 110 gallons and 22" deep... They sell those at TSC... But keep in mind with drought and moderate deer use you will lose about 100 gallons every 3-4 weeks, with no rain.
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 thanks for the response. Currently have mine dug in fairly flush like yours in the video. At 25" deep and dug in flush are deer still able to get a drink when the water gets low?
quick question for anyone… i’m in upstate NY. hunting for a few years but still learning. is it too soon to be using any calls? should i be waiting for the rut.
I would use a grunt call or die bleat right now...but only on a buck passing by too far away, or one walking away. I rarely blind call...
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 great that helps a lot thank you for the tip!
Would you put a water hole on a bench or down in a valley been thinking about putting one in just dong kniw where. Love your videos thanks
Hi Zachary! Thanks a lot for watching 👍 The best places are just outside of bedding areas or between food and bedding. Definitely not in food, or directly inside of bedding
Ok thanks
I’d of had to let one fly at him. I have self control but it’s been a slow early season 😂
Ha, he's a beauty! I know Jen or Dante would have shot him 😊
Do you ever have to worry about your waterhole carrying a high number unwanted pathogens because it's not flowing water and doesn't drain?
We've never seen it. Also, deer like stagnant water. What they don't like is water that gets nasty due to walnuts, pine needles and various acidic trees...like black locusts? I'm sure some berries are another one. Maybe too many acorns?
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 thanks for the info. Do you have to clean it out often? Thanks!
I really think that guys that use a "tree stand" are not true hunters! They're "deer assassins"! The deer don't really look upwards so it's easy as pie to shoot a deer! The same goes for guys that shoot a rifle at 100+ yds.! The deer can't see or hear you! You're just killing a deer with no skill as a so called "hunter"! Pathetic! 🤔🥴
Canned Hunt !
All wild and fair chase just have to know what you're doing. Stick around so you can figure it out someday too. 👍
Don’t worry Jeff, all the haters that cannot afford to buy and manage their own land will always let their jealousy be shown thru spiteful accusations. They somehow think that because public is all they can hunt that they’re better than everyone else. They just can’t help themselves.
