    I had some oxidized mag wheels on my truck, I've polished them before but not all the time. Then I picked up a bottle of your guys' pro 40 polish and I am amazed at how quickly it made my wheels shine just by wiping on and off the polish. This is liquid Gold!!!

Thank you and i will be keeping in contact for your UK distributor as i intend to start marketing my work . Thank you for such informative vids .

    I drive for a local construction outfit, end dump so im running in mud sometimes & dust like powder. I got a bottle of the Pro40, rub on rub off. I get back to shop hand wash wheels then dry then applied some on wheel , They where very dull but with ohhh 15 minutes per wheel the shine came back. I use one rag- applyer & a softer one to remove the residue, I was amazed.. Not as shiney like use a eletric buffer but for hand presure & a rag ... Its amazing....

    The round goblet buffs will work great for the vent holes on the wheels. I would use the 3" or the 4" Take a look at the Z-Ball on our website. It comes with the 3" goblet and the 8" extender, it works great for getting back into those hard to reach areas. Use them with the Pro 40 metal polish. Always use a good respirator when polishing. The more protection the better. You want to avoid breathing any of the dust from the polishing process. Give us a call if you have any more questions. Thanks

      That is far from Hard work. At least not in my area. Deep south, concrete, block work, roofing, slabs and pavers too? Or heavy equipment repair in the field. I consider that decent work. Not hard work. Enough exercise so you feel good about your efforts and sleep well. Unlike the AC brigade which hop from AC room to AC room. Wish I had known this product when they came out with it. Nice looking stuff.

    We appreciate the comments on the video. The main reason for the video was to show the different steps that one may encounter when polishing aluminum. There are basically 3 to 4 steps that may be needed to bring out the "Mirror Shine" you may need all 4 or just a couple. Every job will be different. Our approach for this video was to show all the steps, not how fast it could be done.

  • @zephyrpolishes2775

    Sorry for the delay responding. The recomended "not to exceed" rpm for the 10" wheel is 3,200 and 3,400 on the 8" wheels. And dont forget the safety flanges which are mandatory for use with all airway buffing wheels.

  • @ChuckNorris-sp3fh
    @ChuckNorris-sp3fh Před 3 lety +1

    The wheel/rim cut-outs help but if the final cotton wheel is raked out more, it'll help with the final finish. The cotton surface is what keeps the final surface scratch/haze free. Clean the cotton buffing wheel after 3-4 passes then apply more buffing compound and then clean the wheel again. I used to polish the super-solos that you see semi's pulling. My pops, Claude Benson, was a master at metal finishing. It's an art.

    I used a Dewalt DWP849X to sand and it caused waves in my 24in aluminum semi rim How do remove the waves do I keep cutting with aggressive airway wheel and brown compound block

    • @north-brite6383
      @north-brite6383 Před 5 lety +1

      This is caused by inconsistent sanding. Your sanding stages are just as if not more important then the actually buffing. This is the stage where you are manipulating material (aluminum). Every mistake you make will be magnified as the clarity in your wheel comes through. It happens though. Sanding properly takes time and practice. And lots of it.

    • @irate74
      @irate74 Před 4 lety +1

      You'll remove the waves by restarting the sanding process but start with a slightly higher grit than you started. Example: you started with 80 grit so this time start with a 100 or 120. Try to sand as evenly as possible not spending too much time in the same spot and applying the same amount of pressure in every spot. Sand again with a higher grit (more fine). Now you can restart your polishing.

    You took about three steps more than needed, there are new and faster and better methods, also, had you sanded the rims out with 600-1000 grit you would have a much deeper finish. Your polish does not have much in the way of protectant... recommend using a carnuba or beeswax foundation sealant over the finish for a longer lasting shine.

      +Michael Shemwell Hi Michael. Yes you can purchase replacement goblets for the Z-Ball. We have a selection of several to choose from all found on our website www.zephyrpro40.com We have 2", 3" and 4" goblets that can all be used with the Z-Ball extension. Hope this helps, thanks again.

    You left so many sanding marks. If that was my wheel you would be re-doing it.

    yeah and what about all the micro marring?? is that why you didnt get close enough once it was finished? i can achieve same results using harbor freight products.

      +elcholomovil Thanks for the post. No micro marring on these wheels. Zephyr products are all made with the highest quality materials available today, and made right here in the USA. If Harbor Freight is what you like, made from the finest Chinese imports available, then that is what you should stick with.

    GOOD FINISH BUT WAY TOO MANY PROCESSES TO ACHIEVE THAT FINISH INSTEAD SAND THE RIM BACK TO KLINSPOR 600 GRIT THEN USE A 9" GRINDER WITH A COOLAIR 10" MOP (PURCHASE FROM AUSSIE BUFF, MELBOURNE) WITH A POLISHING COMPOUND CALLED BRIGHT CUT DX (PURCHASE FROM POLYSHINE) FAR MORE COST EFFECTIVE USING THIS PROCESS THAT RIM IN THIS CLIP SHOULD TAKE NO LONGER THAN 15 MINS OTHERWISE BRING YOUR RIMS TO JCB SURFACE FINISHERS IN MELBOURNE AND WE'LL DO THEM FOR $55 A RIM
