In the Highlands of Scotland, there's a wood-lined, tin-roofed shack, known as Rude Studios. Here, Denny Laine and Paul McCartney got together to record some Buddy Holly songs...
On the four-track recorder, Paul laid down the basic tracks, overdubbing each instrument himself. Denny and Linda added a few licks, and all three joined in on the vocals... Denny singing lead, and Paul and Linda harmonising. Keeping it simple, they tried to recapture the spirit of the original recordings by recalling, in moments of madness, their own sweet Holly Days.

Love this LP, Denny Laine will be missed RIP. A great contributor to Rock'n'Roll music, so glad he made it the RNRHOF.

I bought this record when it came out back then. I was 14 and still love it. I saw Denny do the full Band on the run album a few years ago. I've always loved Denny Laine.

Wasn't every musician of that time a Holly fan?
