The P226 XFIVE is a variant of the P226 / MK25 platform which was once issued to Naval Special Warfare.

No wasted movement when he draws, just right up to eye level & straight hosing the target. Crazy I was just looking at the Zev 226s and the X5 226s at my LGS. I honestly think that with either choice I won't miss.

@@samanthaschnick678 I don't think anyone is going to concealed carry this pistol nor do I think they're going to engage human targets with this. I think this is a very nice competition pistol and that is what it will be used for.
@@armorers_wrench It's the pistol he was shooting on the day. He practices real world scenarios all the time. Pistol type does not matter. And if you have followed DJ at all you would know he is more likely to carry a full size pistol for CC than a micro because he's a big dude. He has said many times the micro sized pistols don't fit his hands as well as these platforms. Be well.

Funny thing is, I can 100% guarantee to anyone, that if you run into any of these paid actors in the wild, guaranteed they run Glocks. Like that woman beater Mike Glover got exposed on a edc pocket dump, no team guy changes what works and worked for decades.

Have the Gas Pedal on my P320 Five.... Love it! Check out the Align Tactical take down lever too. It might fit your hand better.
Ordered a P226R on my 21st birthday from SIG through my local shop. I still remember the entire drive home, 20 years later.

I carry a 320 for work. It’s a good pistol. I have a Staccato XC that I’m currently training with and plan on carrying for work. But that sig looks so damn sexy though. I just think Staccato is pretty much going to be the future of carry for most armed professionals.

I have the option to choose my own duty pistol for LE. Currently I’m carrying a department issued G17 gen 5. It just doesn’t feel right in my hands. I’m looking at what Sig has to offer and I’m curious as to what model y’all would recommend for duty carry? P320 or p226.

I like having a gas pedal too and I really don't understand why more companies aren't including it right out of the box. They're really nice to have. That pistol is a work of art aesthetically.

Shot Glock-34 right before it, and that is so much easier to shoot
I love the 226, but I have the same thoughts about the safe/slide lock. My thumb doesn't like to get around it. Also, my Legion didn't come with ANY mag flare. It just felt incomplete. Other than the two things, it is a great gun.
We wish you could remove the thumb safety... the new SXG Legion is amazing, heavy and is like a 226 X5 but in a 320 package.
I wouldnt mind owning a sig one day but hey i bought a Gen 5 Glock 19x And i enjoy that just as much

Do you say the same thing when we review Glocks and Staccato? We shoot whatever platform we want, whenever want, nobody here is bought and paid for. We are just lucky enough to have the option to test out a bunch of different stuff. As with everything, try before you buy.
@@GBRSGroup It’s pretty known that SIG is in your pockets and that’s ok (helps you guys make a living). From a viewer standpoint, it’s just good to know bc it is likely to dictate reviews etc. We appreciate the content bc it’s high quality but the message may have some bias and that’s fine (plenty of others are in the same boat). At the end of the day, you are sharing products for defense purposes and I think everyone can agree thats a great thing.
a 226 with a safety and no decocker, strange. why even call it a 226.
I don't even have optics on it and I'm more accurate with it than any of my Sigs that have optics. Stunningly easy gun to shoot.
Please let me know if you locate someone that will make a holster for it.

actually switched to the Macro and now over the the fuse with TLR7, but the G19 is a classic and easy to carry.

They are known to have issues with accidental discharge, at least the P365 does, as does the P320. I haven't heard the same about about P226, but birds of a feather flock together

@@BoxedWineChronicals I’ve carried a Sig 226 Mk25 as my personal daily weapon for 12 years now, not 1 accidental discharge, now it was an issue once Sig won the government contract for the 365, but as you should already know, expedited mass manufacturing will always have issues, but Sig immediately worked to correct the problem and they have done so.
Another point I’ll make about Sig, there have been numerous instances of citizens having to use their firearm in defense of themselves or others, idk if you’re aware but whenever that happens, the police immediately seize your personal carry weapon and your left with nothing to defend yourself unless you have a backup carry weapon. Now, Sig Sauer is the ONLY manufacturer that has provided a backup weapon for their customers while the court processes take their path, no other manufacturer supplies a weapon for their customer’s in that instance.
You might wanna dive deeper into a company before calling them trash!
