  • This video from LearnElectrics is a continuation of our exam help series for electrical exams and assessments.
The video is directed towards the 2382 18th Edition exam and all references are made to the brown Wiring Regulations book, the one with the long title …
    ••• BS7671 : 2018 - Amendment 2 : 2022 •••
This is the book that you will need to work from for the 18th Edition exam.
The Exam will always include several questions on Tables and can be selected from anywhere in the book. You can get questions on any table in the book.
They can account for anything between 8 to 15% of the exam questions. Enough to make a big difference to your exam score.
The exam is testing you - can you find the correct table to use, and will you find the correct answer?
We suggest that you follow the methods shown here and attempt each of the questions that are shown. This will improve your skills and knowledge and at the end of the video, you will almost certainly be better at finding answers to questions on tables.
And … there is a mistake in the Wiring Regulations book that you will need to correct before your exam.
We will show you the error and what to do about it.
This is video number 231 and to view all our videos type in LearnElectrics all one word into the CZcams search bar.

Good video, but people who have this test coming up, just need to keep doing mock tests online

Hi Dave. Thanks again as ever. Fab content. I have a Q about Q4. Values for k. I got this wrong because I went to the table I always use for adiabatic equations for main earth conductors on P200. What in the question should I have spotted to direct me to P99 T43.1? Cheers. Mark.

Mark, you could have found it from page 200 as well. table 54.3 70 degree thermoplastic, copper conductor, where they cross is 115/103. But 103 has an asterix, look below the table, 103 is for cables above 300mm. So choose 115
Hope this helps, thanks for the support. Dave.

Dave, you need a new mic.

I've tried three mikes and I cannot hear any difference. I do have a naturally croaky voice.
      Thanks for the info, Dave.
