I've heard really bad things about Vercel tbh. Any alternatives?
The NextJS project is still very good, but you're right about the Vercel platform starting to turn more corporate. Nothing inherently 'evil' as of now, but if you don't host with Vercel then you're not affected.
As I said in the video, I love it to launch something very quick. But if you want something really scalable and reliable, you can go for AWS or GCP. These are proven solutions.
i like PHP, nextjs is overhyped
If you prefer PHP over Next.js then go for it. The most important thing is to launch quick :)
How many profitable SAAS apps have you built? This is just clickbait man.
My main SaaS is PluginLab.ai and has reached 20K in MRR after 4 months, and it has been profitable at month #2 :)
