For the insulated ice bowl, use a metal bowl for more insulation AND it'll keep colder longer.

I'm addition to adding the cling wrap as a barrier, I always put my toiletries in zip lock bags. In the event that they do leak, the liquid will stay in the bag instead of all over my clothes.

I do this and organize them to go in the bathroom or bedroom. I have Ipsy bags that I organize cotton balls, manicure set and sewing kit.
@@shellylemons Ipsy bags are so fun! I do something similar and even in my purse, I use clear cosmetic bags so I can find things readily. I have a friend who will root through her purse, which I am amaze at the amount of things she carries - Let's Make a Deal, anyone?!!! I suggested using clear cosmetic bags, however...!!! I don't use them in my purse for every little thing, but for the miscellaneous items; pens, nail files, etc
I do the same thing.
The fan hack also has an easy way to remember warm up(winter)& cool down (summer)
Hi Liz, my mom used to make those ice molds with a Bundt pan. She included fruit, etc and froze them. Then she’d use it in a punch bowl to keep the drink cold and it looked pretty.
Great idea!
Tupperware makes a Bundt pan. I use that to make ice rings for a punch bowl.

You can pour hot water in the center bowl of your ice bowl it will release easily 😉
Thanks for the great hacks! I think my fav is the Amazon one! Will be using that a ton. BTW, after you're done soaking your fern in the epsom salts, pour the leftover water on your veggie garden plants. Tomatoes especially l o v e magnesium. :)
Loved these home hacks! By the way, the travel hack about putting plastic wrap on bottle openings, then putting lid back on is great, but try using Glad Press & Seal instead of plastic wrap. Press & Seal molds to the container you're sealing - far easier and better than plastic wrap. 😀👍🌈

The Epsom salt works great, but you don't have to soak it. You can just pour the whole gallon on the plant once a month. Works great.

When you make ice molds, if you use distilled water then the frozen water will be clear instead of cloudy. Just to give you a different look, it looks great for a more elegant work!

"Travel" Thanks for sharing Liz. For the suitcase, ever since I was a kid and all through my adult life we would tie a bright color ribbon a few times to make the suitcase stand out. Works every time. The ceiling fan button is one I knew from growing up. Our 1st ceiling fan was purchased with that in mind and the aluminum foil plus plastic wrap tab was a great hack I discovered when I moved out on my own, by accident no less I poked the sides and realized the purpose. Keep sharing 😁

Yes Liz I've known about the ceiling fan directions for years that's an old hack. A lot of people still may not know about it but thanks to you Liz now they get the idea of why the switch at the top of the bulb on their ceiling fan

This summer our TRAVEL has been replaced with a STAYcation. My family is in California and Kentucky and Michigan. We usually visit, but gas and airline prices have kept us stationary for the time being. Love your tips.

Travel - one of my favorite words! Loved these hacks! MY favorite today was the tip about the little circles on aluminum foil and plastic wrap! I'd never heard that before. Next time I go to the store, I'll check to see if we have the circles on European Union items! But great tip!

Hi Liz. I actually duped that target ziploc organizer by wrapping the side in Dollar Trees buffalo check vinyl, topping it with dollar tree faux leather and cutting out the vinyl words for each bag size with my cricut. It turned out beautiful.

WD-40 works great on stainless steel, you can also use mineral oil (the base of baby oil)...no smell with mineral oil
My hubby is a biomedical engineering technician and he told me about the fan switch 35 years ago lol

Hey, Liz!! I put things that may spill in luggage or my purse in a zip lock or slider bag. I've found it never leaks!
Years ago, I worked at several burger and fast food places. We used lemon oil on all of the stainless steel....coke machines, ice freezer, anything that was stainless. No fingerprints on anything and the lemon scent smelled great! Health and food inspectors love this trick!
