Melaka - the real-life Springfield Monorail

Filmed, going nowhere, in April 2013, this 1.6km line along the river was originally opened in October 2010. The train famously broke down on the first day of operations. In December 2010, the monorail ceased operations when it was discovered that it didn't work in the rain - a near daily occurrence in the tropics.
Fortunately, a good view of it (doing nothing) can be had from the river.
