    Had general c&p first on a Monday, was kinda nervous. Went in with nothing and came out with nothing. 2nd scheduled one was the following Monday for hearing, went in with nothing again but came out with 10% tinnitus.
    3rd exam was behavioral two days later and I committed to going into it fully prepared. Spent the rest of Monday writing my story and writing to everyhting on the dbq. The next two days I was a wreck leading into the exam. Thankfully had a great psychiatrist who listened to every rant and sidebar I went off on, and when I couldn't talk anymore without breaking down, he read my papers i printed. Came out of that one feeling like exhausted and was already taking the rest of the day off anyways. Got 50% for that exam althiugh I know I rate a 70% I'll let it go for now. This was a great start to fixing a lot of things.

      I did this 12 years ago. A year after my deployment they sat me down with a Pakistani doc who could barely speak English. I struggled with Arabic people. I knew it wasn't rational to hate her but I couldnt help the inner rage. She asked plain faced and bluntly in a mental health exam, "tell me what's wrong with you" I told my story, cried, shook like a leaf in the breeze, and was given 30% for anxiety disorder...I was mind blown. Figured the system was fucked and took my 30% and ran with it. I'm now speaking to a therapist last six months or so. I've been diagnosed chronic PTSD, Derealization/depersonalization disorder, chronic anxiety disorder, mild depression. I can't take meds because they make me feel suicidal (they make the DDD worse). I've got episodic Insomnia and episodic Hypersomnia. I have auditory halucinations, a wierd fuzzy feeling in the back of my head... the DDD causes me (episodically) to forget my children and wife's name, their faces get scrubbed from my memories and I can't recognize them. Other than my name, my entire life gets forgotten. It happens at work, at home, at the mall. Happened once talking to my boss.
      Reason I say all of this, I've become an absolute unit with hidding my symptoms. My wife didn't know I was forgetting her episodically for years and thought I was just being an ass. If this is you...get help, forget the claim for now...help first. Once you get a recovery plan, go to the VA.
      I wish I knew what these guys were telling me years ago.

      I went to C & P Exam where VA Doctor informed me that he was recommending my Knee condition was aggravated by Military service. I was also evaluated for Sleep Apnea. Since I had two sleep studies done with a recommendation of a CPAP machine which was prescribed. The VA Doctor in his report stated that the Veteran did not require the use of a CPAP Machine. He also stated that my knee condition was not aggravated by military service. The VA Doctor filed a false report to the VA when he stated I did not require the use of a CPAP Machine. He also lied about several points to the VA in his report. I filled a complaint to the Medical Board for turning in a false report to the VA. I also sent in a request to the VA to give 0 weight to the VA Doctors Report since he gave false information and lied in the report to the VA. I would encourage Veterans who run into VA Doctors or any Doctor falsifying reports to the VA to file a complaint with the Medical Board. Especially if you can prove it like in my case with the CPAP Machine.

    I served in the Army, 95 Bravo, Military Police, 1983 - 90. I had to relocate to the Philippines 19 years ago because I could no longer find employment to sustain my monthly needs. Dealing with the VA in the Philippines has been a nightmare. It is only after 12 years the VA finally recognized my wife as a dependent and I am anxiously awaiting a back pay for the benefits I should have received. I would really like you guys to talk about veterans living abroad and what we are entitled to. About 13 years ago I sought a reevaluation for my service connected disability. When I received the decision it said no increase was warranted. After reading the doctor's comments I honestly thought she was reporting on someone else, as nothing I said was in the report and anything remotely the same as I had reported. It was as if everything I said was downplayed to seem insignificant. When I called the VA to inquire about an appeal, they said it was my right but I shouldn't because their policy and procedure was to immediately decrease my % of disability simply because I was appealing their decision. I didn't appeal because my disability is my only income and I couldn't afford to lose it. I have lived on a little over $600 a month for the last 19 years, with a condition the VA doctors in the US said would worsen over the years but when evidence of my condition actually worsening the VA denied my claim. I was also diagnosed with depression nearly 20 years ago but no one informed me this was a benefit related diagnosis. I feel my depression has gotten worse but I honestly feel I have no alternatives. Any help you can provide would be great.

      It's free to join and we don't charge unless we help you win, so most vets use part of the increased compensation that they didn't previously have to cover our fees, but we also have a Mastery program.
      You can schedule a call with us and we can go over the details of the programs and any questions you have! Click here to schedule your call >> vaclaims.help

      @VA Claims Insider I appreciate that....recently had rate lowered from 100% to 70%, use that income to provide for my family, we are deeply in debt and facing homelessness,neither my wife nor I can work, ssdi pending, no way I could pay guys 6000-13000 dollars, we have a 1700 rent and are raising a grand child, using DAV, no doubt in my mind you could help me...but I simply would 1be unable to pay you guys,now if I do get approved for SSDI then I very very well may pay for the out of pocket program... I

    Is it false or true , you guys are for your self, tell veterans your are free ,no cost,if you help them, you want a lot of mone?

    • @VAClaimsInsider
      @VAClaimsInsider  Před 6 měsíci

      False. We are very upfront about our fee. The good news is if we don't help you get an increase, you don't owe us a penny. When you win, we charge a portion of your increase.
