Happy Birthday Nicky! Remember you being born during a thunderstorm 24 years ago. Doesn’t time fly! I’m thinking sage green for doors. Black seems to be in for now but I think it’s a short-lived fashionable phase that will go out of fashion quickly. Green is simply classic and will blend in the garden. It doesn’t have to all match like some identikit house. You want character. But what do I know??!!!! You’ve got a great eye for aesthetics so I’m sure it’ll look great whatever you choose. The floor looks amazing and in keeping with the traditional but high-end vibes. Keep on doing what you’re doing guys. ❤❤xxx

From a window cleaners perspective, I say go green. Black just looks dirty after one dust storm. Love the videos, keep them coming, you are doing a fantastic job.😊❤

Not sure if you guys will still check comments from old videos, but a tip for future projects...double wrap copper pipes with denso tape (or fit insulation if the chases ar deep enough) before covering in bonding plaster, as it allows for expansion, especially on hot pipes, to prevent cracks in plaster, and protects the pipes from erosion.
Bit late, but a tip for the future that's worked for me -- when you are sealing the walls with the PVA/Water mix, to save some time and effort, this can be made up a little thin and applied using one of those pump-up garden sprayers, the type designed for spraying insecticides and stuff. They cost next to nothing, and you can cover large areas really quickly. I'm learning loads watching your project, nice to be able to offer something back!

Bricks matching is good there at the back 👍 I'd paint the doors black cuz u have the black light and mirror 😊 And that food being cut looked so nice 😊 (it's midnight here and I'm hungry) 😂😂
Fortunately, as you know it wasn’t Nicky’s first rodeo with bricks! 🧱 The food was tip-top, gets me hungry every time I watch it back! 😅
Happy birthday! Floors looking fantastic and so is the roof. I’d personally go for black on the doors. I didn’t realise there was no glass in them so I was very confused when harry just walked though 😂 ps. Sticking with 350k :)
Thanks Haydn, think black is already winning the majority so far! Hahaha, the plasterer actually said the same thing to us today, he thought it was the cleanest glass he’d ever seen! 🤣

The kitchen nook sounds like a great area for a coffee machine! As for the doors, if you’re keeping them white inside then sage green would be less of a contrast (than black) when you open the doors if you’re sat outside and can see both colours!
This is defo a good idea regarding the coffee nook- however we might already have somewhere worked out for that (with really easy power access!).. The white black contrast is a really good point as well, definitely torn at this point! 🤷♂️🙂

doors should definitely be black to match even though black attracts or at least just highlights the dirt the green in my opinion just wouldn't fit in anyway the doors can be cleaned so the fact that black just highlights the dirt isn't a big issue

@@NickyandHarri we were painting our hall way, as it’s a high traffic area the walls had started to get grubby, as we are saving hard for a new kitchen, we wanted to save money so we used left over paint so it’s only white but it’s really brightened it up and my husband has framed some of his photos that he takes of landscapes, and put them on the wall at the top of the stairs and it’s added a pop of colour, we are also painting the stairs so eventually we can have a runner going up the stairs to save on buying full carpet instead. I’m constantly watching renovation videos and getting ideas, wish we could do them all in one go, but our campervan has had the engine management light pop up and that’s going in the garage on Tuesday and praying 🙏 that it isn’t too expensive to repair as well as needing the MOT too… it’s all money money money 😂

I am retired for 8 years so my weeks are always off to a good start. LOL. I worked for over 50 years, so I am really enjoying doing what I want, when I want and never being late because I am never on a time schedule. It is an amazing life. LOL.@@NickyandHarri

This might be a bit over-kill but I would try painting the seats of the bench black but keep the table and legs green. Maybe do one so you can turn it around and imagine it. That way it would tie in with the glass door and the fence.
Defo an interesting one, will have to pop some paint on top of the seats and see what it looks like, could be a bit rogue though!! (But also could look great, so who knows!)

@@NickyandHarri That's the point I was trying to note: black is modern NOW. If you want to avoid dating the outside, avoid black. If you don't care, then do a Rolling Stones and "paint it black" :D

Wow oh Wow guys i adore the flooring you put down an what a way to lay it in the herringbone design you made it look as easy to do and i gotta say i wish i had done that design when i did LVPF flooring on my feature wall in my bedroom, yes you seen that correctly i put LVPF on the wall which i made a feature wall in my bedroom but i didnt have the confidence to try doing that design plus also the shop i got the flooring from didnt have anymore of the colour i choose in stock and now seeing how easy you guys made it look i am gutted that i didnt take the chance and have ago 😮😢.
I do however have plans to replace my old kitchen flooring and i am thinking of going with LVPF and if i do go that route i may take a chance and do that design 😊😊

Sounds like a very cool idea to make a feature wall out of flooring- something I don’t think even we are bold enough to try though!! The herringbone design was actually surprisingly easy to lay and we couldn’t recommend giving it a go enough!

Did you consider LVT click over glue?
We did consider it, but after using it before in vans we thought we’d give some adhesive tiles a go… absolutely no regrets so far! 🙌🏻
