- Carol Burnett spoke to “Extra’s” Melvin Robert as she cemented her legendary status forever with a hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The 91-year-old icon said she was “gobsmacked” by the honor and recalled growing up in the neighborhood and visiting Betty Grable’s hand and footprints. At 91 she is so articulate, intelligent, gracious, and aware. There are those in the public eye thirteen or fourteen years younger who can’t put a coherent sentence together and would have nothing of value to say if they could. What a treasure she is.

Yeah...the current fraudulently installed POTUS certainly is just a useful puppet (think about who/what's pulling his strings) and is obviously a senile, traitorous, old tool that's making us the laughing stock of the World.

I have loved Carol Burnett since I was six...I would purposely stay awake on Sunday evening so I could watch The Carol Burnette Show with my Mom...It was a very special time for me...Mom would always welcome me and we both would laugh so hard...She looks wonderful today...I'm sorry to hear of Donald Sutherlands passing as well...He will be missed...My condolences to his family.
I've hoped for years and years to be able to contact Carol Burnet to tell her about the immensely positive effect she had on my mother. Carol was one of the very few joys my mother had in her life. We used to watch her show altogether as a family. During the funny bits we would laugh SO much. Mother's belly laugh, which only came out during Carol's shiw, was a high pitched cackle. On top of laughing our heads off over the show, we had an😂 even deeper laugh about hearing mother's cackle! Literally, we could barely breathe!! Those were some of the best times in our house!! So I've wanted to thank her for years for that!! My mother had a struggling, difficult life because of her health. Carol's show was really about the only thing that brought her to that very deep belly laugh, which broke the rest of us up!!! 🤣😁
Plus, the two of you looked almost like twins!! Thank you so much for adding to my mother's happiness!!! You're a jewel...a sparkling jewel!!!❤

She's been a star for so long I can't understand why they would wait until she's 90 years old when you see them giving it to people who are much much younger! It's very strange but I've seen them do this with other stars who could have been dead by the time they get around to giving them the star! I grew up watching the show. We did as a family every week. Now when I'm feeling blue I watch the blooper skits or just all the ones Harvey lost it in and I laugh so hard. What a treasure to be able to watch these again. I really love her.
Use to watch her Carol Brunett show, I even wrote her in the 70's as a 9 year old kid and she mailed me back a autographed photo she sent me and still have the original large envelope with the stamp "The Carol Brunett show on it. Have always loved her and have wished to meet her one day, such a inspiration at a time when not a lot of women back then had their own show!

I was raised with 4 Sisters and we Canadian wee lassies couldn't wait for Friday nights (prime time) to watch "The Carol Burnett Show" (with Harvey Korman, Vicky Lawrence and Tim Conway) and we would always say "good night" to her Gradmother-with her-at the end of the show all tugging our ears.
Donald Sutherland was truly a gentle soul, his Father-in law was a man of God cabinet minister and brought free healthcare to Canada. His Son Kiefer and his mother Shirley Douglas's Dad was a Canadian trailblazer and Donald Sutherland was a kind soul, he didn't need to act he was his every role.
He will be missed and my condolences go to all of Donald Sutherland's loved-ones and respecters around the world, we lost one of the world's greatest icons and heaven gained an Angel.

I was on that iconic latticework elevator at 890 Broadway one day. Live push-pull operator. Ten or twelve of us and Carrol Burnett hops on. As respectful theater folks we kept our gazes straight with the occasional side to side, oh shit it's her, glance. She launched in with "How's the elevator business, bet it has it's ups and downs."
I love Carol Burnett. As a child I look forward every week to her show and I never missed it. It was the best thing on TV for years.
