    CULTIVATING HISTORY
In 1987, the Crossroads Market opened its doors just off of 16th Avenue and Barlow Trail, in Calgary’s northeast. The Market quickly became home to a unique array of merchants, some of whom are still with us! From the very beginning, the Market has been all about keeping things simple and letting the diversity of the vendors and their products, along with the comfort and needs of our patrons, intersect to create a shopping experience that reflects the can-do spirit of this ever-changing city and the people who call it home.
    SOWING SEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Crossroads Market has always been active in the community. Not only do we value being an incubator for new and local small businesses, we are also proud supporters of many Calgary organizations, events and charities. Throughout the year, the Market plays host to tons of different fundraisers and events in support of schools/students, non-profits and arts and sports organizations.
    Why Go
Since 1987, Saturday mornings at the Crossroads Market are truly a tradition for a lot of Calgarians. Aside from the fact that you can usually snag some delicious baked goods while you're browsing, there's all the fresh produce, locally raised meat and poultry. Stuff that makes your dinners into a feast all week long. The indoor market is open year-round, but during the summer months you can wander outside and see the outdoor market, too. There are over 125 vendors selling antiques and crafts, in addition to the vendors selling produce and food items. Check out the list of upcoming events, which include things like chilli cook-offs, book sales, or Stampede breakfasts.
    What's Great
There is something for everyone at the Crossroads Market. Vendors have fresh produce, meats, breads and cheeses; pre-made pies, pastas, soups and sausages; plus, all the specialty items and dry goods you could ever need. The best way to experience it? Stop on by and have a look around - the market is open every weekend and all year long!
    Local Tip:
Don't skip the food court! From freshly made waffles to unagi bowls to vegan crème brule, you'll find something to make your tummy smile.
