Devastator always one of my favorites
When I was a kid living in England in the 1980s, Swoop wasn’t available to purchase with the other G1 Dinobots, so seeing him in any form now, is a must-have for me.
Ouch! You have my condolences. Vintage G1 Swoop was my favorite dinobot growing up. I'm glad this gives you a way to enjoy this character vicariously through this figure.

He looks really good, I can't wait for BBTS to get him in stock. And as soon as I get Swoop here in the mail, Hasbro will announce G1-toy-accurate redecos for all of the Dinobots, thus making me double (or quadruple in Grimlock's case) dip on all of them, which I will do because I have a weakness and it's G1-toy/Marvel comic redecos of modern figures.

Great looking figure, but poor Swoop. Despite having the advantage of attacking from above, he always got blown outta the sky in the show and movie.

That shoulder tilt to give the wings their "swoop" is a really nice touch. Good job, Hasbro. If the chest tabbed in better in bot mode, it'd be perfect.

I know this isn’t a model train channel (unless astrotrain is involved) but the rubber tipped rockets just makes me think of the Lionel minuteman car

He does look good. I do agree that they could’ve filled the hallow parts since he’s smaller/shorter than the other Dinobots. Two other things that annoy me a little are that they could’ve also included the swords for Slag and Sludge. The last thing is they managed to used gold paint for all Dinos, except that Snarl received that awful yellow for his head and limbs. Still a great set of Dinobots.

Hi emgo, you’re my go to reviewer and have been since I started collecting in 2019.
I think one thing you and all other reviewers should begin doing for all screen based designs is adding reference images for figures. I think now especially since robot modes are a priority for figure designs, a reference to the screen would be super helpful for us collectors to gauge the value of a figure to us. If it’s not too much work for you
I looked for him online for awhile. He was sold out most places. I found him at BBTS and got a preorder in.

I can only assume the missile tips are soft to minimize damage in the event some shoves one of both of the missile launchers up their nose.
I love how hasbro keeps moving towards cartoon accuracy in chug stuff.
Accuracy is the whole point of Studio Series and its sublines

About the chest not locking, Mine locks in place quite nicely. Not sure if it's a trick or it just needs a slight bit of force to get it to stay in place.

I’ve pretty much given up on collecting these transformers. I dunno what the problem is, but it’s pretty much impossible to find them in stores anymore. I just found snarl this past Saturday at target. The only one they had. Hasn’t he been out and gone for about a year? And he just randomly shows up. I’ll get swoop if I see him but I’m not going out of my way and searching everyday. It’s a waste of time. I could buy them online but that takes the fun out of getting them. Finding them in stores brings back the memories of the excitement of finding them when I was a kid. That’s kind of the point of collecting them. I’ve managed to find more of them than I had when I was a kid. But we missed an entire wave or 2 around here. Sunstreaker and trailbreaker waves were nowhere to be found around me. That’s when it started getting hard to find them. I still can’t figure how a random snarl showed up. I can’t find any sign of gears. The shelves are full of figures no one wants. It makes no sense.

I'm hoping to force Hasbro to finally give us our missing Dino buddies some recognition cause we the fans love these Dino mighty characters.

This is the most critical I've heard Em in a while.. a bit concerning but I'll be completing the Dinos regardless.
This, in my estimation, is a good sign.
Still don’t understand why Snarl is the only one with the different colour (not gold for his head but yellow), just looks out of place of the set.
I missed out on 86 Grimlock and I’m really hoping he gets a reissue of some kind.
Going to pick up Swoop while I can!

2 complaints, 1, the bot toes are tiny and 2, that chest not being able to tab in anywhere in bot mode. Otherwise this is one great figure! I can't wait to get him. He was my favorite dinobot growing up!

It's great to have this figure "Swoop" down into the SS86 Dinobots to complete the team.
My beak gets in the way of my waist...what? not clipping chest is unfortunate but the figure is very cool overall. I can't wait to get him. I'm still trying to get Snarl. Swoop does mouth blooshing after eating bad bird seed.

They will, according to leaks, will rerelease Grimlock next year
It's not a leak. They said on the Hasbro Pulse channel that Grimlock will get re-released like next year I think.

Debating on getting this guy or not. Got the fansproject Volar awhile back n I think he fits pretty well in with the rest of the dinobots. Little bit shorter but that said he looks wicked good and he's a based on a smaller dino as is. But then, the SS86 completionist in me screams GET HIM! Only one I dont have is magnus n probably never will cuz I ain't paying $180 for it.

He looks good 👍 but a chest that doesn't lock, useless dino feet and hollow arms are unforgivable, IMO. Penny pinching hasbro again....
I hear you. Hopefully DNA Design will come to the rescue to fix the issues and perhaps give us a flight stand to display him flying in his altmode.

@@mickmerr I'm floored that upgrade companies that made real upgrade kits that actually switched out parts to improve/change kits have reduced themselves to mostly filler makers. It's depressing to see the decline in quality designing.

@@mickmerr Not so much that they wouldn't be able to, it's just the cheapest means to make bigger profits for unsaitable greedy share holders. Not to mention a bad CEO behind the helm making repeated horrible decisions, and the board can't fire until his contract ends at the begining of 2025. Not without paying the rediculous payout conditions of breaking his contract anyways.
This is one of those moments when g1 loyalty isn't a compliment. Yikes I just can't with that alt mode
