Not only gameplay wise but also the graphic design choices for the Fonts were spot on with the modern Pepsi brand, amazing work!💯😎🔥
It kinda blows my mind that Pepsiman has yet to see a remake or successor as a mobile title. Everything about the gameplay would translate perfectly to an "endless runner" type of game: short levels, relatively narrow paths, jumping over/sliding under obstacles, boost-jumping to clear large gaps, collecting items along the way--the blueprint is all here.
It would totally work indeed. That might be a good pitch to them about remaking the game 🤔

@@AutZentus Probably not. I think he was just over exaggerating because of how bad the game is, and how much of a nightmare it is to complete. Especially when the prize for it is just a wire frame reskin of Pepsiman.

It's so crazy to me that this game became a meme. It used to be like... a secret game for me. As far as I could tell it was like nobody knew about it but me and a couple friends back in the 2000s. Hell, technically not even we were even supposed to know about it, the game was meant to be only available in Japan. But I bought the game at a flea market back in 2004, and I vividly remember that was the same year when Pepsi X Energy Cola came out in Brazil and we thought that was the most badass thing in the world. Not only was it the most lowkey energy drink out there for a 10 year old to actually get (cause the cashier would legit not even notice it wasn't just... you know, Pepsi), it also had the letter X on it so it was even cooler. You know I sorta think Pepsiman being such a niche thing to know about during my childhood played a role in my taste for soft drinks, cause it was like an inside joke that grew into a fond memory, and to this very day I'd pick Pepsi over Coke, with the greatest of ease.
Yeah totally, it's so weird how soo many people know about this game and it being part of their childhood 😆
I relate to this a lot. Pepsiman looked like just a random obscure game that some people happened to have in a binder among their dozens of pirated PS1 discs.

Great job, I had in mind remaking the original game too actually, however sticking as closely to the original game as possible. (mostly the music & Pepsi logo used, which would be the old version for several reasons) I _might_ succeed in doing so one day.
