We travel on Holland America and especially love watching these videos
Thanks! 😊 We like Holland America too- great food & service!
Love your videos, they are very helpful! Thank you for continued postings!!😊
Glad you enjoy them! Thank you very much for the comment! 😊
Always look forward to your videos. The mid day snack buffet looks really good. You could turn it into an early dinner if you wanted.
Thanks folks. Looking forward to more videos.
Our pleasure! Thanks for the comment George- more to come! 😊
Snack time! I’d probably make a small charcuterie plate out of the cold cuts and cheese so I don’t ruin my dinner. But one of each kind of cookie (shared with DH) would have to happen too. 😁 Thanks for the video! I was bobbing my head to the background music too! 😆
Thanks for the comment Sally! 😊 A charcuterie plate sounds like a great way to sample the snack buffet without being full before dinner. And of course, sharing those cookies is a must!
Glad you enjoyed the video... and the music 😉
I was going to comment on one of your previous videos, I really loved Gigi's on the Discovery Princess. All of the food served in that venue was excellent - AND IT WAS COMPLEMENTARY!!! Not anymore. I think it's $15 to eat there now, and while that's still very reasonable compared with most land-based restaurants, I miss being able to walk in there and eat something without having to pay extra for it. Those were the days!
As for this video, I love that Princess does a snack buffet, although I think it's quite unnecessary considering you already have the International Cafe. Sandwiches and fruit are nice, but I'm weird. When I go on a cruise, I'm looking for eats I've either never had before, or can't find on land. I'm all for the adventure, and I think Princess still does a really good job on that front. I'll be embarking on my very first HAL cruise toward the end of next month, and I'm really excited to experience how they do things - especially food! Nevertheless, it's an Alaska itinerary, so I plan on spending most of my time in a coma inside the spa 😂
Thanks for the comment Scott! 😊 Yeah we enjoyed Alfredo's/Gigi's too before that new $15 charge. Yup some of these buffet snack items do overlap with International Cafe's offerings, but there are some unique to each venue, and the buffet has the complimentary coffee & tea station which is one advantage. Your first HAL cruise- have a blast experiencing their culinary offerings (and the spa which is extra nice for an Alaska itinerary!). Look forward to what you think about HAL!
2:36 interesting
2:39 this is what i Call a snack 🤌🏻
Yup that bread and butter pudding is very popular- sweet and satisfying. And it was nice that they always have those chocolate chip cookies and one other type. When the buffet is closed they still have cookies at the International Cafe. 🙂

Thank you for these videos. I am not at all impressed with the food that I see from Princess. As someone who has worked in food for over 3 decades, I can easily see that many of the items on the buffet have clearly been sitting around for quite a while, even before they put them on the line. They really need to work on their prep timing and get things out fresher.
I agree, looks awful!
Our pleasure! Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the Princess food!
If they don’t do a late night buffet, do they have anything else available for late night/midnight snacks?
They sure do- the pool side pizza & Trident Grill nearby are open until 11 PM: czcams.com/video/PXjvPDLt37g/video.html while the International Cafe is open 24 hours: czcams.com/video/cB6PF4CuqFg/video.html
Great video! Going on Princess in May for the first time. Thank you!
Thanks Christian! 😊 Look forward to hearing what you think of the food after your cruise!
Do they allow flask as bringing hot water from floor16 buffet to cabin on floor 8will get cold also do they give small travel fan on request
Sure you can fill your own bottles with hot water at the buffet- they only require that you use a mug there to do it vs directly filling your bottle. They don’t provide portable fan but the cabins have a thermostat which you can use to turn on the air conditioning.
Thanks can you give an idea please for bottled drinking water cost as taking drink packages is very expensive as we are non alcoholic I hear they give a basket per day cost any estimate please
Yeah we don't buy bottled water- it is very expensive. What we do is bring a pitcher filter and filter the water from the cabin. But you can also get the water from the buffet too- those water dispensing machines filter the water as well.
Even zero alcohol drink packs cost 45 dollars per person per day
Thanks a lot
Is this on majestic princess also?
Absolutely! Though there probably will a few differences in variety and flavor.
That's fine chicken drumsticks wings very good can we have normal tea in buffet breakfast or is it chargeable as electric kettle not allowing to bring
On request do they give bucket mug in cabin or is it not possible please
@alokemukherjee327 electric kettles are not allowed, but there is hot water 24/7 for tea from the coffee machines
They don't have that but you are free to take any mugs, cups, plates, bowls and utensils from the buffet to use in your cabin
1:21 what is that kind of mashed potato 💀
Lol yeah those looked kind of clumped up
