That was really good that stingray the famous submarine has gave a lot of good of old memories.
By the way I have little question i like to ask is thunderbird 5 gonig to be episode nine tech talk and if it is I would like to see it because to tell the truth about it well thunderbird 5 has always been one of my favourite machine and i would like it to be the next episode and i just would like to say I enjoyed all of the tech talks.

I love Stingray, it’s sweeping lines and popping colour scheme. She is one of my top vehicles from the worlds of Gerry.
Ahh Stingray, my gateway drug into Supermarionation. It was probably already a quarter of a century old when I first saw it, and it was, and still remains, absolutely brilliant.
I hear that loud and clear! Though my gateway drug was _Fireball XL5_ and it was brand new when I first saw it.
Love the bit at the end where TB4 helps Stingray defeat the Terror Fish! PWOR!

In the thundiribrd comics Stingray did do a cross over but it was only 3 panels in a bigger story

Another great entry in the C21 TT! Chris Thompson's artwork is stunningly awesome. The piece de resistance 'The old one-two' was brilliant - the stuff of 60s childhood dreams!

I was a huge fan of Captain Scarlett. Love how the shows all link into each other. Was quite pleased too to see that little bit of info about captain gray.

Imagine what they could do today with CGI and Stingray, and especially Fireball XL5. However, since they had to build absolutely everything, these Anderson productions were pure art and craftsmanship.
I go back to remembering Torchy and Twizzle, if I can mention those here. This series of CZcamss is so good. Lovely to hear David Graham again in his various guises. Excellent. My family have adopted one of Brain's sayings: "I don't think they're gonna make it, Mr Tracy". It is great to include Stingray in these briefings. Well done and keep up the good work! Cheers from me in Oz!
I love the little touches that make to puppets seem real - 2.45 when Troy turns his head to glance down the shaft as they are dropping down to Stingray

In the Fall of 1964 I was 7 yrs. old This and Hanna-Barbera Jonny Quest Blew My Mind. I Wish I Got a Toy Stingray for Christmas.
FINALLY! We get to see other WASP vessels. And with their numbers just like Stingray.
While living in Cleveland during the 1960s, I only got to see three of Gerry Anderson's fantastic creations airing on local TV. Supercar in syndication early 1962 when (I was four), Fireball XL5 aired nationally on Saturday mornings on NBC starting in September 1963 Stingray was also in syndication aired around early 1966. I didn't get see any Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons until I moved out to Southern California as an adult by the early 1980s on VHS tapes.
Stingray added to my childhood wonderment of the fantastic.

I think my favourite part of these videos is the stuff about the raft development. The pre-Stingray submarines were pretty cool and it's fun to finally see why Stingray is number 3.

Hi for all! in my 61 years old I love the Scarlet Capitan, Stingray and Thunderbirds team....I never forget these adventures! why these series dont release again? waiting ever...G.A. ...when I see my Angel model AIRIFIX.
Watching these "Tech Talks", I totally miss *"Ray Rayner's Rocket to Adventure!"* It was an old mid 1960s weekday afternoons television program that ran on *WGN-TV, Channel 9,* in Chicago, IL. Mr. Rayner, wore spacesuit, and sat at a console of his spaceship, with five screens, each one would let him see a different program. One day, it would be *"Eighth Man",* the next day, it would be *"Gigantor",* my favorite of the progams that ran was *"Stingray"!* I totally loved that submarine!
I used to love the Aquaphibians when they talked and the Peter Lorre agent X20 I believe he was called? Best aliens ever.
I called them hot water bottles,well,thats the sound mine made,was`nt it agent X9?,it`s been a while....
In "The Master Plan" Phones and Troy combine to talk like an Aquaphibian so as to bluff their way in to Titanica.
This is great! The shared universe of TV21 is back!

Just started watching Thunderbirds again on ME TV Sunday mornings. Hadn't seen Stingray in years. Still great.Thanks for posting. Doesn't Gordon Tracey look like Dan Quayle? I noticed that at the intro to Thunderbirds. Thanks again.

If you have even wondered how they filmed Stingray underwater, they put a thin glass tank of water with a bubbler in front of the camera, then had a dry Stingray and other moving craft on wires move around behind the tank.
they did that with supercar and fireball xl5 too.

i think it was only in tie in books written by Gerry Anderson and co.
Yeah he was never mentioned in the actual series I have watched every episode of my stingray dvd collection but seeing how stingray came before both thunderbirds and captain scarlet I don't think gerry anderson had it all thought out from the beginning.
It was in a Spectrum agents CV feature from a Captain Scarlet Annual. Each of the main characters had a back story and it said Captain Grey served in the WASPs before Spectrum. But doesn’t it say a lot about how these fab Tech Talk episodes are written and created that this sort of crossover detail is included! Well done again to the C21Tech Talk team 👍
In one of the new animated series of Thunderbirds - There's a model of Stingray in a fishtank in the lounge. Thought you should know this.

Who would have thought that Gordon Tracy use to work for the World Aquanaut Security Patrol (W.A.S.P.). So I guess my fan theory of Thunderbirds and Stingray being linked together and taking place in the same earth is true. That must mean Commander Samuel Shore of W.A.S.P. and Jeff Tracy must also know, or at least know of, each other. I even wonder if Brains might have had something to do with the construction of Stingray, and equipment at W.A.S.P.'s base? And I also wonder if International Rescue gets equipment and other things from secretly with W.A.S.P., and that members of W.A.S.P. are secretly agents of International Rescue?

Gordon Tracy and Brains are both voiced by David Graham, who is also the voice of Parker.
According to your other Stingray video, Marina was the one who rescued Troy and Phones by untying them. Then they of course took her with them when they escaped.
She also swam between the Mechanical Fish and Stingray to tie up the tether so that Stingray could be towed back to Marineville.
Oh my goodness, I'm loving these Tech Talk videos and all the ways in which many of the Supermarianation shows are connected. I can't help but wonder how Mysteron threats and/ or other situations (e.g, attacks from Titan, natural diasters or a collaboration between some of the villians within each series) would affect the characters. How would the Tracy brothers' former friends and colleagues react to the knowledge that they form the core of International rescue & vice versa? And, what would the implications be? That's something I'd love to find out.

Stingray is the ' Spitfire' to TB4's 'Hurricane' slower but a steady weapons platform.
It does make you wonder why Stingray wasn't even adapted into Thunderbird 4, if you take my meaning; I'm sorry to say it but Thunderbird 4 looks nothing like a submarine.
Because TB4 is designed for depth penetration and can remain at 36,000 feet longer than Stingray. Different types, different capabilities.

It is canon that Gordon was a member of WASP before IR was formed, and one story in the TV21 comics did combine characters from Thunderbirds, Stingray and Fireball but that was before Scarlet was created so there was no crossover with that. Just as well really - I'd hate to think of a Mysteronised TB1 or Mole!

There isn't really a bio on virgil's pre-international rescue career, just that he was a graduate of the (I take it fictional) Denver School of Advanced Technology and astronaut training at the tracy college.

A fun video. But I was always under the belief that there was more than one Stingray patrol sub like the Fireballs and Skysub.
Thunderbird 4 is slower but a very stable weapons platform like the Hawker Hurricane and Stingray is the Spitfire fast and powerful. I think it is the best means of expression of description.
They're both designed for very different missions stingray is for patrol and combat thunderbird 4 is for search and rescue comparing them would be akin to an F-14 tomcat to a sea king helicopter they both do different jobs and do them both very well.
whovianhistory buff 2345 - I didn't mean to say that the two craft were doing the same thing. To a degree TB4 is capable of defence of self. Though it's not a first option. Since it is a rescue submersible. Stingray is more capable in combat but has some capacity of sea rescue, but in a more limited sense. The analogy of the Spitfire to the Hurricane is how I best explain the difference between the two. Stingray has the edge in combat over TB4. But when it comes to deep sea rescues TB4 has the edge on Stingray. It doesn't mean that the two can't work together. As Titan found out - the hard way.

I had NO idea that the Supermarionation shows had an expanded universe and shared worlds... I thought it was a joke, but that quote basically makes it official, right?
It was the comic strips in TV21 that began the integration of the Andersonverse if I'm correct.
I'm almost entirely certain that _Stingray_ and _Fireball XL5_ were explicitly connected in an episode of _Stingray_ that indicated WASP was a sister organization to WSP. But I'd never heard of any connections to the other shows.
So is the Thunderbird 5 episode going to be the last one?

Who needs those limp Thunderbirds? Stingray was prepped for war. Mess with Stingray and you get a sting missile to teach you to mind yourself.
As the video shows, Thunderbird 4 is also armed with sting missiles, and the other Thunderbird craft are armed with a variety of cannons and missiles too. Wouldn't fancy taking any of them on.

I always did think Stingray was a superior sub to T4
I'd say Stingray is superior to TB4 in the same way an Apache helicopter is superior to a Sikorsky S-92, the Apache is a combat helicopter gunship and the S-92 is designed as a search and rescue craft.
