True... he's been hinting that it might be him who doesn't like the board and not the other way around. I believe he didn't want to be a yes man anymore... before the season started he did say that he wanted a small squad and to clowe the transfers as soon as possible, but what did he get, the same number as the season before with Caicedo and Lavia not prepared and Lavia injured... He might have gotten many things wrong but he was also juggling many hot potatoes...
I can't with these owners. We can only hope it works out. Madueke apparently heart-broken. He posted a thank you right away!!! Palmer in his last interview emphasized that the players backed the manager. Maybe that was why he wasn't his best in the last game. They will all feel disappointed now and have to remember to stay mentally strong so we won't have a horrendous start to the next season...

I agree that Poch did well in a difficult situation. However, I disagree with Joey (rare) that something major must have happened.
We need to understand that CFC is not run like a traditional English football club. It is run as a business AND by American owners. They operate differently.
I assume there was a clause in the contract that in a post season review, if certain performance criteria were NOT achieved (CL...) it became easier and cheaper to terminate Poch. So thats why a) no mid season firing and b) so much emphasis on the review post season.
US owners fire managers that do not hit KPIs, sell homegrown talent because it works for FFP and try to build a professional structure within Chelsea. Fans emotions are not a major factor.
On the plus side, they will continue to invest AND they will see the club if an opportunity presents itself.
So onwards and upwards. No point in getting upset.

Did you watch the last game of the season? Did you see the Projected Goals for Bournemouth? 2.1 Ours was less than 1. Did you go and watch Arseholes beat us 5 0 ? I did and felt like proper shit for 3 days after! I also felt like that numerous times this season! Do you forget him playing colwell LB while we had a fit Mattson? Who he then let go put on loan?

Joey mate, he didnt get sacked he left by mutual agreement! He didnt want us as much as we didnt want him! I remember watching your videos after most of out matches this season and you was as pissed and upset and embarrassed as much as the rest of us! Dont forget what he did, colwell at LB letting Mattson going on loan where his been flying and got to a champs league final with a team that we beat Last season! He cant get caceido and enzo to gel, they cost us over 200 million! He played chilwell at Left wing, played mudryk 1 game at a time so he couldnt get any type of form going yet stuck with sterling when he was having nightmare games! He didnt make the right subs at the right times, he didnt change tactics at all when it was clear during games against lesser teams defending deep it was needed! 5 0 to Arseholes! Abramovich would have sacked him or any manager in the dressing room after the game if he was still the owner, why? WE ARE CHELSEA AND LONDON IS BLUE! I can go on and on about all the bad things he did, how many good things did he do? How many times were you gutted after a game this season? Yet we win the last 5 and everyone forgets!
Cant believe how many of you are gutted about him going. OUR players showed us at the end of the season how good they are and they showed us in pre season before that! I love Chelsea Football club more than any manager or owners!

Im a huge chelsea fan, and this isnt the worst for our club hear me out.
DONT let 5 good games fool you, all this season has been to incositent with chelsea, dont forget we lost 5-0 to arsenal and a 1-0 defeat to middlesbrough. 2-1 defeat to a shit utd team. Poch was never the right manager. And Chelsea board have learnt from last season instead of firing when alle of us was shouting at them to do, but instead they was smart and waited the season and analyzed the situation, and came to the right decision "were not gonna win trophies with this man". De zerbi isnt a bad shout, you saw the things he did with mudryk in the cl against madrid. And he was the manager that made caicedo good enugh to chelsea was willing to buy him for 115 mil. On top of that he also wanted cole palmer at brighton before chelsea wanted him, he's a manager that also have a good relationship with lewi colwill. So he has a good resume working with young players, so he could easily go and do a suprising good job with ours young and big potential squad. Would much much more have de zerbi than Poch.

Genuinely think a lot of fans were/are deluded if they thought there wouldn't be a pain barrier this season.
We scored like 38 goals last season, massively struggled. We then sold Kova, Havertz and Mount, whilst Kante and Azpilicueta left. The amount of experience that went out the door was insane. We were always going to be inconsistent and think for Poch to get us to 6th, only 6 points of Villa in 4th is incredible. Whether by luck or design we found a system that seemed to suit the players, found form, individuals improved and we played some good football. He deserved next season.
It sounds like he wanted to keep Gallagher and Chalobah and Eghbali and Boehly want to sell, so it sounds like from Poch's view, him staying became impossible.
Been going to the bridge since the Gullit era. Feel so disconnected from the club and have zero clue who we turn to next, and dont know which manager with any promise would want to work with this lot.

I was Poch out ever since the cup final. I just didn’t see us winning anything with him in charge. I am not a fan of his lineups, how we constantly make similar errors every game, how he doesn’t really show much management during the game and waits way too long to make changes, and often when he did made changes it didn’t really help and in some cases made it worse. The man is a serial loser.
However, the players clearly saw something in him, whether it be they can just coast around picking up big cheques, or he can actually improve them is irrelevant. They wanted to play for him and we have seen a change since the arsenal game. It was ridiculous that we had to wait until the end of the season to see basic team structures, attacking patterns of play, etc. But getting rid of him as soon as it clicks seems so strange.
Injuries have been a big problem, but he has also had times where we had a Maatsen who could play lb, yet chose to play colwill lb instead and cost us results. Or playing Gallagher lw, or sticking with an injured Enzo and playing him with Caicedo in a system that makes them look so much worse than they actually are.
Looks like Gallagher and Chalobah are gonna be sold for that pure profit😔. Gotta fund those overpriced Brazilian teenagers somehow am I right 🤷‍♂️
The main reason why I didn’t care if he went or stayed cos who is the alternative manager? If we get this Ipswich guy we are finished, idc if he got two promotions in a row, we are Chelsea ffs. Guess we will have to wait and see
