Everyone hates sansa literally because she's basically what we'd all realistically be in GOT. I mean cmon! We love arya and Jon because they're so far from what we imagine real people are like. Sansa is the only person in GOT who actually acts like a normal person. Most of the time. All those bad qualities are qualities shared amongst most people.

Amazing! What I think is so important about this is that in so many of these, Sansa is actually being incredibly brave by making her 'bitchy' comments. She's taking a huge risk by mouthing off to people who have power over her and could easily hurt her, but she still won't be a docile little lamb. I love that they couldn't break that quality out of her, you know?
Is this quote from the books? I read it once, under a picture of sansa and daenerys, but i wonder where this quote came from? I started to read the books..i would be really happy to know if this statement is part of the books. I know the main cast of the show are Dany, Jon, Tyrion, Cersei, Jamie... but it would be cool, if George RR Martin had big plans for Sansa too. I saw her suffering for many seasons, until she finally killed Ramsay, i don´t want to have seen Sansa tortured the whole time, just to see her killed by Cersei or something like that -.-
the true main charaters of the book series were actually Jon, Dany, Tyrion, Arya and Bran. I think they still are since Georgee R R Martins original pitch, with a few additions (jamie, cercei, sansa, Brienne, Samwell etc)
@kevinmax21 Sansa is actually one of the major POV characters. The only book where she doesn't have a pov is in "a dance with dragons" since that book focused on the things that transpired outside of Westeros. From book 1 till book 4 you always see Sansa's chapter maybe after reading 3 or 5 chapters. In George RR Martin's blog, you can see that she will return as a major pov in Winds of Winter.
Leaf Pool being pov doesn't automatically means that you are main character. quentin martell was a pov character and robb stark wasn't, for christ sake. you gotta admit that true main characters of that story are jon, dany, arya, tyrion and bran. nevertheless, sansa is awesome.

She was a 17 y/o girl who dreamed of dresses and marrying a prince, thinking King's Landing was the place to be. She went there and realized that all her dreams were false, and from end of season 1 she dreamed of returning home but she was held captive, forced to play the game of thrones. And she became the just and rightful queen she is now.
PS : for the peoples who don't know she is supposed to be like 13-14 at the beginning so just entering puberty, Arya is like 10 or something so not into boys obviously

Sansa to me has one of the best character developments in the series. She goes from a stupid little girl into a very well trained, clever and strong woman.
Fiction is motivated by changes in the main characters. Sansa is the ONLY character who endured fundamental changes in her character -- from silly, romantic little girl to hardened leader. Yet she never lost her basic purity of heart. As an exercise in technique, she is Martin's masterpiece.

To be honest, the first time i watched the show I didn't care for sansa. Not that I hated her or anything, just wasn't high on my list of favorite GoT characters (to be fair, there is a lot to choose from.) But by the secound time around, I totally loved her. This video showcases most of the reasons why.
Yep. For me, i first realized how strong Sansa is, when Joeffrey began to torment her... when she became the "dark queen" after she lied to help Littlefinger and work with him, i was truly impressed. Sad they send her to House Bolton in the Series, which never happened to Sansa in the Book. In the Book she reigns House Arryn i think (i´m not at the end of book five, only at the beginning, but read it on the Internet). Paeter gives her training, how to become a master manipulator.

Her soft voice is so amazing with her sharp words. She's really stolen my heart over the course of the show. She could have easily just given up at any time but she didn't waver, she just kept going. The BEST character development in the series by far.
At first I didn't like Sansa, in both the books and the show, but she grew on me when I realised that at first she's just a kid and then when she's forced to grow up too fast, she's a strong person who overcomes all that is thrown her way.

After everything she went through she came through stronger & has always been a fighter. (not in the Arya sense but in a different way) Now it seems unless Arya is playing games she's come out of her experience naive & demented. Sansa is a lady who knows how to get shit done & survive amongst the worst of humankind. She has learned from Peter how to play the game but has more dignity & kindness than he has in his little finger. She will do what's best for her people and if Jon has any sensibility he will forgive her and move on should she take his title from him, one which he already said he didn't want. She is better at ruling than him anyway, he should've bent the knee to Dany the minute he got there but he holds on to childish pride just like Ned, something Sansa knows is foolish in the world of GoT to attempt. Stay as compassionate as you can but do what you must to survive. She sees the way the world actually works and knows how to navigate within its rules instead of outside of them like Bran & Arya. That's more than any of the dead Starks can say.

Yes, she was wrong to side with Joffrey but she did it to protect her family as she knew not siding with him will anger Cersei and she would punish them all. She was smart, even then.
