Recently I think he did his best sets at BOTY 2023, Spin Control 2023, Ultimate Battle 2023 and at the Lords of the Floor prelims 2024.
These are great but overall he’s in even better shape than this.
Issei is still Japanese greatest and will remain in that position for the next few years.

Why didn't he compete in Olympics?
I heard that he's focusing on doing more local battles. That said, he entered Red Bull BC One, so who knows what the truth is.
If he'd concentrated on the Olympics, he could have probably beaten Hiro
