When I was a kid, we rode the US Maid of the Mist to view the falls up close in a boat and I spotted what I thought was a huge dead fish floating in the water on our way to the falls. On the return trip, I had gotten my dad and we both went to the bow of the boat and sure enough, we saw it again and this time ran to the back of the boat to confirm that, yes, we were actually looking at a human leg from hip down. Not a huge dead carp.
We told the crew and they took a little 15' aluminum boat back out to retrieve it.
We went to town and bought the local paper and sure enough, a guy had gone over the day before. A suicide.

Its not Buffalo across the rainbow bridge, that's Niagara Falls USA. Buffalo is across the Peace Bridge which is a bit futher away.
Yes I’m aware but most people will be confusedAF watching if I said it’s Niagara Falls here and over there 😆 Next time I’m back I’ll do my Border Patrol ride up and down the river and all the border crossings.

I feel you going over those bridges but at your weight you've got nothing to worry about. I'm 100kg and have a real worry every time I go over the canal
That bridge cost me a GoPro a few years ago due to me being a dumbass with a new mount I was using 🤪
nice ride, one recommend is to get above the escarpment, so much nicer than the service roads. Yes its longer and therefore slower, but its worth every minute extra.
Oh I’ve been that way as well up ridge road. But was on a time crunch this time as the kiddos were waiting for dad at Fallsview to go swimming!

Ive done the ride to conquer ride from Toronto to Niagara, but Ive never done this route. May try it out this summer.

@@DontGetDroppedCyclingyep I stopped at that store too when I did Hamilton to Niagara on the lake with my girlfriend some years ago. We rode back the next day. About 170 km round trip.

I do a big Niagara and back yearly with my club and try to do about 200m/322km 😅
@@DontGetDroppedCycling There is a big bike path that goes all around Niagara in a big loop. Goes through welland, st catharines, NOTL, niagara falls, Fort Erie, and Port colborne. Pretty awesome path.

Ya Ontario is flat as a pancake! We do have a bunch of kickers up the Niagara escarpment which I'll take you to over the summer!

Do you need passports at the border stations for Niagara area? That’s seems like a strange item to have to carry on rides. That area is too flat and wind exposed.
Only need a Passport if I’m going over to the USA. Planning to do that one time!

I lucky and don’t ride in the city where the crazies are. Most my roads are outside the city where it’s quiet and most drivers are reasonable.

I'm just wondering you don't get tired riding that far you must have a very good stamina because it's very far 130 km ride is not a joke. I think you should do it with a E bike you'll be more relaxed.
I loveeee to ride my bike and the further the better! Later in the year I’ll most likely do a trip there and back with my club. 200-300km 🤪
