  • Hello, this is kind of a remaster of my older pictomancer rotation examples, with an added timeline and encounter timer after I learned how to use DaVinci Resolve lmao. I used it for starting some optimization in terms of keeping buffs in sync and using no Holy in White at all. The rotation is easily capable of going for 99s if thats what you were here for. Historical 100s as well. Besides that its super good for just getting your reclears while dealing good damage.
Its by no means the most optimal approach. An example would be the MC inside 4mins but since thats a very low loss I don't care about this since all this video is about is giving you guys more ideas on how this job works. Also in reclears I just want to play well, synced and consistent. This rotation allows you all of those things.
I sometimes call it the lazy rotation since in my more advanced tries theres much more thought to clear times and overall gauge building and timings, but it still takes a bit of practice to learn this one. Have fun practicing it!

Finally someone explaining how to avoid drifting! This was driving me nuts! I tried using holy, using more hammers, avoiding using so many subtractives 😭 I’ll definitely try this, thank you so much for this video!

Hahaha you're welcome! It was driving me insane as well so I tried to find solutions with the Picto in the Shell website until I found some workarounds that work quite consistent and are rather easy to execute :D
You might still drift by like 0.3s over the whole fight if you play it close to flawless but given that Pictos buff is instant and not cascading like Divination or Battle Litany does this will be fine most of the time. It for sure avoids you drifting by a whole GCD or losing Rainbow Drip in your buff because you used it too early into a swifted GCD.
      Have fun practicing it!

Heres a log of a "very" similar pull on a striking dummy:

Hello mate, 2.50 gcd does more damage than 2.48?
Im wondering if I can fit all gcd inside buff using gcd 2.50 consistently with my ping. (Not high but not so low).

Hoi hoi, if you look at the current bis sets in The Balance Discord Server, there are 2.50 and 2.48 as an option. The "advantage" of 2.50 simply is that it simulates slightly higher damage (0.5%) than 2.48. Since the simulator can't really count spell speed into the formula, from what I've heard its just a ~0.2% difference. A lot of top ranks still use 2.48 due to personal preference. I for now am in love with 2.50 so I sheet all my stuff for that value.
So if you wanna minmax to the last bit I would go 2.50. Besides that 2.48 stays a more than solid option and gives you a bit more leeway with things. Also some small rotational things might change. I was able to pull off my M1S rotation on 2.48 with some small adjustments. I'm not sure how good this rotation in the video works for 2.48 so I'll check that.
If you by any chance have existing Logs already go check if you can fit the 9GCD burst into buffs. If not, go hit a striking dummy and look at the Log, same thing. If you don't use that stuff, do your burst and check (if you use Rainbow Drip as the last GCD) that the Buff "Rainbow Bright" gets removed before you lose "Starry Muse" in your floating Text window. They will be very close to each other. (As an example check the timestamp 3:20, with the buffs disappearing at 3:22 in the floating Text window in the middle of the screen)

Sure thing, I'm happy to provide help through the videos so you will see more stuff in the following weeks. We're currently doing M3S runs so you will most likely see new stuff from that fight. In the end I will upload videos from all fights, as well as any additional things I see as helpful :)
