I don’t remember how I came upon Olafur’s music, but I am forever grateful for that moment. Thanks for the incredible art you give us all🙏
NEVER GIVE UP Upon waking, alone in my apartment, feeling down about my health and wondering what I should do...I thought it a good idea to take a walk but, after a cup of coffee and a slice of toast. It was a cold September day and the sky was blue. After leaving my apartment and coming to the main sidewalk, where I usually take a right, I took a left. A mile or so, I rested, took a few deep breaths, looked to the blue sky, and longed for the long-ago' spring in my step. A bit later, the coo of a Mourning Dove, alight on a branch and high above, got my attention. I looked and smiled, “Good morning, Mourning Dove”. I, then, let my gaze fall to a lower branch, where I beheld a single fading green stem and turning leaf, touched by a ray of sunlight. I walked over to the branch, and gently with thumb and forefinger, touched the 'holding on'. I felt a warmth, a determination, and on my walk back home, with the image of stem and leaf in mind, I felt a spring in my step; The leaf won't let go and neither shall I.theimage of that golden leaf, held me steadfast in the belief to never give up, always catch the sun.*
We don't deserve this
What are those train tracks? Are those for transporting the piano?
"What do I do with half of myself?"
Just lost my soul mate recently, cannot find him anywhere….This melody and its lyrics fill my empty heart……❤️🩹Thanks for your music, it saves me again and again….You are one of my favorite artists that I want to collaborate with in the future! 👍🎵
The finest song since "Particles" ethereal voice, minimal strings, the distinctive piano -- mysterious...MAGIC❗❗
what's not to like?
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
this is what exactly people listen in the heaven.
When my mother passed away I drove up to the high mountains and found a place to camp for 3 days, I listened to Olafur with the car door open as I sat alone by the fire and I wept. I had a long conversation with God until I fell asleep by the fire, I did this for three consecutive days then after the third day I knew it was time to leave the sorrow behind. The drive back home was quiet with deep sighs, I miss my mom and all my mourning can't bring her back but I shall go to her...
Here you go.....
Olafur's music always left me speechless
I want to die happy knowing that during my life I achieved to have people who loved me enough to play this song at my funeral.
This music awakens parts of me I had long forgotten about when I lost my innocence....to all, don't forget how you used to be, before life happened to you.
Over the moon
No matter how sad you are, you will not know heaven, here is all you will see, live and let every living being live, and you will find your redemption
How miserable do you have to be to click on the "dislike" button on such an incredible piece of art such as this?? 😢
This is the Arabic translation for the lyrics:
Just occasionally you come across something really, really special. something to be savoured and treasured. Today is one such day.
