    A team of gardeners are trying to protect Cambodia’s most valued heritage site - Angkor Wat. They’re trying to ensure the ancient temple complex is not strangled by overgrown trees sprouting from cracks in the structures’ sandstone. They scale the heights of buildings barefoot, with hard hats as their only safety equipment.

      @erick meyer Have you been to Angkor and seen the restoration process?? Everything has to be done traditionally without using heavy industrial equipment because that’s the regulation. Beside your can’t just disassemble the temple floor or corridor to set up a crane.

      @RadiatedPotato Před 3 lety +13

      It's mentioned in the video that they can't use other equipment such as harness to secure themselves as it would damage the Temple itself, plus those mens have been doing the job for years, most likely be palm tree climbers prior to gardening at the temple. I've seen many of them climb the trees without anything so you just have to trust them on it.
