Great videos helping me out tons on understanding my daytona 190 thank you! You should make a video on adjusting the valves pretty sure its straight forward but there is no info anywhere on the process for an anima

my build will be same 212 daytona with daytona rotor kit and ported head.

@@MhxanobiosS hey dude, I think you got the Zongshen 190 instead of the daytona. if the big bore fits, I hope the clutch and the rest of the engine hold up to the extra torque. good luck
@@signaturedean Hey bro hello, i received the engine and no it was not the Zongshen 190 it was the Daytona Anima, it has the 4valve head and it also has the Anima clutch cover instead of the Zongshen but it also has the electric start and the 5 speed gearbox from the Zongshen on it.
The 212 kit fits good (i did the job myself), but you have to grind the cylinder's cooling 'fins' on the lower side for the cylinder to clear the electric starter and slide into place

@MotardMotorist.. That's interesting man as i haven't seen or heard of that configuration for a Daytona haha i have a brand new 190 in a box. I'm picking up a YCF 190 next week for $800AU, just needs a new piston.. thinking I'll use parts from the new engine as spares and replace the crank, rod and clutch set up for MBF parts. Glad it all worked out dude.

Wish you luck on your build dude, and yeah i also though of putting some MBF parts on the Anima but I'm thin on paper now. I also found that Wossner makes piston for the 212 kit

I have this in my 2019 Sunday Motors 187. One of the best bikes i have ever owned. Is it worth messing around with the adjustable timing? I see the dip switches on the ecu module.

i had my engine laying on side during transport for 16hrs. now it will not start.i checked spark plug and there is no oil on it.it wants to start with starting fluid but will not stay running.what should i do?

How the gears broke
Just idler and clutch centre worn this is normal there is a revised clutch with the gear as one unit which eliminates basket rock which these engines suffer from.

Did the keihin pe28 work good from factory? I'm having trouble with my mikuni vm26 on my yx160 engine, runs fine except when you suddenly twist the throttle the engine bogs a little bit, i figured this was from my needle but can't find different needle types. Also great video thanks for the effort
George Maniat I have also used PE28 but I got the problem like you! Twist the throttle about 20-30% then engine bogs bogs... more throttle then engine runs smoothly. Plz help me about size of main jet and pilow jet.!!
My problem is bogging only when suddenly twist the throttle open all the way. If your bike bogs with 20-30% gas but gets better with more throttle then it should be either the pilot jet or needle. put a new spark plug in (when the engine is hot) and start the bike and ride around for about a minute or 2 but never give more than 30% gas (keep the throttle on position when bogging occurs). Then pull out the new spark and see its color, if it's white or light grey like ash then carb is lean and needs bigger pilot jet, if its black then carb is rich and needs smaller jet. If jet change didn't do any difference then put the original jet and then try playing with the needle. Oh and by the way, if your engine is less than 160 don't bother with 28 carb, get a 24 or 26 instead

This engine is definitely Chinese they say they're Japanese but they are not
It is supposed to be designed in Japan and produced in China with high quality standard. It isn't made in Japan, that's for sure. I don't know what to make of it, I don't know if it's worth 1100 euros or not.
@@ifrit35 it's so expensive. I wish I could go to blacksmith and ask him to manually re-made Honda's super cub motor with 4 valves like this beast with a low cost 😂

Yup and even one of those gear teeth sheared off under enough stress would cause catastrophic damage inside that case, he was lucky in this instance they weren't worse. Most China crate motors on pit bikes you don't even bother doing tear downs like this, just run them till they bomb and replace, but being a $2,000 engine it's probably worth it if you have the time and skills to rebuild these. I just run Lifan motors because I know they are living on burrowed time, the clutches are terrible etc, but they go like hell till they don't. If I had to bet on it Lifan probably makes these motors as well, just uses a bit higher tolerance in the parts. The head in particular is totally alien looking compared to most legit Honda horizontal motors.

@@joblessalex your an idiot it has 23 super hard track hours on it i think it faired well it didn't blow up, hes doing an overhaul considering these are race motors they arent made for people like you who just put around trails and will never use them to full potential
