The title of this video is misleading. I'm looking into a white or pink Bespoke fridge and this title made me worry there were flaws in function (like my horrid LG fridge). But this was just a video full of interior design OPINIONS.
Fair enough...However, in a well planned kitchen design with a stove centralized, having a multi colored refrigerator will look odd. Then the colors are not consistent between refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave....But you are right. It is my opinion.
Then again, sometimes people need a differing opinion. Everyone else on CZcams loves Bespoke.
Yes it is misleading, l just bought the Samsung Bespoke navy glass quad doors refrigerator, l absolulty love it, the 2 doors on the freezer with 6 pull out drawers and shelfs are much easier to organize food.
My Maytag washer just broke, l am going to order the bespoke washer and dryer in navy, it's a beautiful color.
Brandsmart USA are the cheapest l found. 🌞

My LG fridge after 2 years and 4 months went out. After 3 months of going back and forth with LG they give me half of what it would cost to replace their product with the same product. At this point as long as my fridge can be withheld by the warranty than it's better than LG

As I mentioned on another one of your videos, I purchased both the Bespoke refrigerator and the Bespoke front control range. Got both in the white glass. I've had them for almost a month. Love both of them.

I think it's incredibly silly to suggest Samsung's Bespoke line is a problem simply because it is offering costomers custom colors.. You are attacking the colors not matching, not the actual product. I honestly don't think having color choices is a problem AT ALL, and in fact is the KEY benefit to the bespoke line. But here are the major, major benefits of Samsung's Bespoke innovation:
1. Owners are not stuck with one color, if they want to renovate their kitchen, or at least put in a new paint scheme.
2. Samsung's bespoke color panels are offered with glass lamination, which is a beautiful, easy to clean, scratch resistant, as well as fingerprints hard to see (for most colors).
3. Panels offer a fun way and relatively inexpensive way to switch up an otherwise rather boring appliance. Your argument that the fridge should never be a focal point is simply subjective. Personally I disagree. The fridge is what EVERYONE goes into the kitchen for most of the time, and inarguably the one appliance that gets the most interaction and attention, more so than the stove. Also I'd add that people use the fridge as a way to share thoughts, post memos, and personalize their kitchen with fridge magnets or travel photos and make their boring fridge more interesting.. So yeah, fridges ARE often the center of attention, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
4. Stainless steel fridges often receive a dent or two over the decade or so they are in operation, and some get abused quite a bit. These are not just highly visible and ugly, but very permanent. Samsung's replaceable Bespoke panels, on the other hand allow owners to restore the fridge to is shining new glory no matter how long you own it (assuming of course you are able to buy the panels, which I don't see why there wouldn't be a secondary market for them by then, if Samsung doesn't still manufacture them in 10 years). This is perhaps my favorite benefit because every fridge I've ever owned incurred an accidental dent eventually.
My only complaint, really is that this is a Samsung product, as they have a god-awful reputation with their customer service.
I am not saying that at all. Their stove colors are navy and stainless. Both are likable. The other two, black stainless and Tuscan, are not. Black stainless will scratch leaving permanent flakes of stainless. Tuscan is brown, and it doesn't match anything.
Their newest color white is smart except it doesn't match the other white appliances. You are looking at different shades of white throughout.
I do like the color choices on the fridge. If it works in your kitchen, go for it. However, I would question your design if the fridge is central in your design.

I agree about fridge absolutely being a focal point. We have a cooktop and the oven is in a completely different place, so the fridge will indeed be the point of attention.
I was worried the glass would look dirtier than other finishes but actually it is easier to wipe all appliances clean, smudges and such come right off. It doesn't even show most smudges unless looking at an angle but nothing compared to how yucky stainless can look. And so far working great .. I have a 3 piece set and Flippin love it.

That’s your opinion. I do have a small kitchen with it open to the living room. I love to be able to change my fridge color, right now it’s sunrise yellow. I absolutely hate stainless & know many others that also feel that way.

I don't understand why the white glass range has stainless handles. All the others have body matching handles. Any thoughts?
I would guess they had the stainless in stock. white would have to be manufactured
Because it's Glass... The other range colors are steel so the handles can match. But glass handles, knobs, and trim would be dicey and easier to damage.
Because the fridge has no handles. They got rid of handles to avoid glass handles or other things. Probably they could not come up with strong design avoiding handles for stoves.
I saw something talking about other global markets having hundreds of colors and even artists doing designs in the glass. We purchased these and with it being all said and done I’m glad we didn’t go with the model of refrigerator with the tablet, the beverage center has already worn out it’s appeal, and we aren’t really impressed with the lower freezer. We like the finish and the custom abilities to change glass and the fridge keeps beverages amazingly cold. Nice video, it’s good to have objective videos and you raise good points!

Thank you for your video. I have navy kitchen cabinets ( my Bosch panel dishwasher is painted the same color)with white backsplash and a white and blue quartz countertops. The Bespoke Navy appliances are intriguing to me. I don’t need to replace the range or refrigerator at this time but l may in a few years after l see how well the Bespoke products hold up. As always thanks for sharing your opinion.

I’m about to buy a Samsung bespoke refrigerator and came across this channel. Out of curiosity, what is the origin of the name “Yale appliance”? Yale, the university, is in CT, yet your stores appear to be in the Boston, MA area.
The founders didn't have college educations, and named it Yale...whether it was humor, lack of self esteem, or prestige, that I don't know
I agree with you about brown, "Buy brown and mark it down" but I'm not sure if I agree with the rest of the video. This is for a disposable generation, a samsun bespoke is perfect with my new Ikea kitchen in a mix of matte turquoise and high gloss white. It's a 5-7 year kitchen in a condo, Bespoke is perfect for a lot use cases like that and for the younger buyer with flatpack/modular cabinets.
Bespoke is Samsung's flagship lineup. I doubt theres going to be major issues like in their previous generation models. I haven't seen any major issues yet.
The fridge has been entirely redesigned. Ice maker is no longer in the fridge section. Defrost and evaporator have both been redesigned. All Bespoke fridges are made in Korea. The dishwasher has been redesigned. No more linear wash. Instead its a traditional water sprayer/spinner. It has a heating fan to improve drying. Hope the PCB and components hold up as they have been heavily sourcing cheap Chinese dishwasher parts and manufacturing. All Bespoke washers made in South Carolina now come with a 20 year warranty on the motor but I have heard some issues with counterweights being broken. Overall, I think Samsung is listening and updating their design. Only time will tell but they seen to be heading in the right direction.

Actually reliability is crucial...We log 34,000+ service calls just last year. Samsung is reliable other than their icemaker and non existent factory service...That said, this video was about design and before they manufactured white.

I’m building a kitchen with glossy acrylic gray bottom cabinets and white cabinets on top. Bespoke is the only fridge that allows me to have shiny gray bottom drawer and white drawer on top. It works perfectly for me.
I enjoy listening to your opinion on these topics. We have had our bespoke white refrigerator and white dishwasher for 5 days and are very pleased with our purchase 😀. Samsung is even giving a second set of panels the color of your choice for free. We have a small kitchen and the bespoke looks absolutely fantastic. Samsung is reliable. They do have some icemaker issues, and their service is thin to be kind. But I like the refrigerator

I have a Samsung fridge that’s 12 yrs. old. Ice maker stopped working after 3 years, recently the water stopped. Water line inside the hose. is good. This fridge will cost me over $1400 to repair. I’m considering getting another fridge. What are the mechanicals like for the Bespoke? In other words will the ice maker stop working after 2+ yrs?
Mechanics are decent. They have an icemaker issue. We stopped selling Samsung last year. I still like the product.

I have owned my Bespoke Fridge for six weeks. I love how it functions. But! The white panels I ordered are NOT as white as they look in the store. In my high gloss white kitchen the fridge looks off white to grey. Frustrating because I designed the kitchen after seeing the fridge in the store. The sample panel I was given matched the cabinets, but the actual panels did not. Waiting to hear back from Samsung. BTW. My other Samsung appliances have been great!
Does it look like the sample…glass white might differ from the white of your wood
@@shank296 Hi Steve, The sample of the Bespoke door panel matched the cabinet panel when I made purchase. Unfortunately the Bespoke panel did not match the fridge. The person in the store said it was because the sample did not have the metal backing on it like the actual door panel. Go figure! The store is looking into giving me a credit for a different color choice.

What you can try to do is get white vinyl, remove the panels and lay the vinyl down on the doors so that the glass is then installed over a white panel vs dark panel. I think this might solve your problem. You could even get a free sample from 3m if you contact them directly. gloss white might be best as it reflects more light than say satin or matte. If you give it a shot, just be sure to install on the doors behind the glass not on the glass. good luck.

How does the Samsung bespoke navy finish hold up? Is the navy finish an oxide coating that is easily scratched like the black stainless or something more durable? And are the refrigerator navy panels the same shade and hue as the range? In person the white panels the bespoke refrigerator and the range are different shades/hues when seen side by side. I really like the navy steel from what I’ve seen on the internet, haven’t seen it physically yet….

Mechanically, how is the Bespoke refrigerators? My wife doesn't like stainless appliances, and she wants just the white panels. If we ever sell our home, the fridge will stay put (no need for it in an RV when we retire in a decade) and we don't have guests over to our home (work schedules), so décor isn't an issue with me. Our Frigidaire has been working great for 22 years, and we may have to replace it. If so, would this have the same issues with the insulation and defrosting that previous Samsung reffers have had (I doubt it, as the ice maker is no longer in the fridge section).

Samsung is pretty reliable. However, there are problems when issues arise.
I got everything in blue, looks amazing with my white kitchen.
I love my navy fridge. The fridge is the focal point In our home which is small and open concept. The stove is on the back never seen. If your lay out is like mine, go for it. Oh the are is otherwise off white with grey, navy and few other accents. Love the fridge. And the color

I love the idea of bespoke and, so far, I love the execution. We have a bespoke 4-door fridge and range and dishwasher. All white panels, except the bottom 2 pieces on the fridge. We have extra panels for the fridge (Samsung offer) and could make it all white...or all light blue. It looks so good. Such an improvement over stainless.
Stainless...blegh. I usually love modernist aesthetic but it has its place. At some point, it evokes a heavy industrial feel to a kitchen which, ideally, should feel light and sunny. There's plenty of metal in most kitchens already. I do get that stainless steel can be easier to care for but...glass panels on appliances have been a boon for cleanliness in our kitchen.
I do concede that Samsung's backend costumer service is a mess. Their approach to appliance sales feels very tech-startup-y. Get the product out, fix it later. Innovation over reliability.

@@shank296 We bought the pure Stainless steel Bespoke Refrig. The ice and water problems that plagued Samsung appear to have been solved, its incredibly quiet, nice size at 29 inches, and the interior has a ton of ways to configure for what people have in there. Zero problems, and I was a guy who was never going to buy Samsung, but my wife won out, and she was right...so far. And there is a local authorized service center a mile away. Crossing fingers, but am very happy so far.
Why isn't the dishwasher also available in glass?!
From a design standpoint, I think Samsung is trying to get to younger buyer, folks redoing their kitchen, folks living in industrial lofts, startup kitchen spaces and anyone just want to have a quirky styled kitchen - very similar to Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana collaborated appliances.
From a functionality standpoint, they just don’t work since we don’t know how the colour changes will be over time, will look inconsistent and out of place/distracting at most kitchens and with it being Samsung, build quality is subpar which will deter more experienced, knowledgeable buyers.

I’m looking at it because it’s NOT stainless. All the new white or black might as well be stainless for how easily they dent.
I think Samsung might also be trying to target high end, upscale builders. Food for thought to come up with kitchen designs and colors that can attract the buyers. Basically the same thing as others said: attracting young buyers.

I have the navy glass panels, much easier to keep clean than stainless, and looks amazing.

I bought this fridge, literally a few parts broke upon having for the first day. They lied to me about trying to fix it, literally wasting my time. Told me they couldn’t order a new one. So they wanted to refund us, while having waiting 3 weeks. The worst customer support. Thank god I had insurance on it…
Samsungs popularity runs counter to its ability to handle problems at times
This is all about design and the looks - nothing about the function. Bespoke white glass refrigerator is the nicest inside and out - we have the three door - super nice.
Video was made before white was an option.....If I wanted to delve into real problems, we could have mentioned the icemaker and total lack of service.
I am a media production and Photogropher. I just purchased the Bespoke Fridge and I think the colors work very well. I am starting with the All white 4 Door.

Fair point. However, its not click baity to teach a bit about design. I like Samsung. Just make sure there is service in your area.
The solve the "issue" by allowed you to change the panels.
They solved the issue by making it color changing through an app on your phone. You can even upload a photo. However, the range remains the focal point of your kitchen....For that you only have a few options.
What I wanted to hear is that now they are reliable.
I like the glass design, my favorite is the White Glass and the Matte Grey Glass. But no matter how they look, if they start performing as the old models I rather give the thumbs down 👎. I heard horrible stories about Samsung appliances
We have reliabiity covered in other posts. Samsung is reliable. However, the horror stories are about their service

Is nobody else sick and tired of stainless everything though? Looking through THOUSANDS of appliances and they ALL look the same. Bespoke is introducing glass, which is awesome. Stainless steel doesn't "work with all cabinets". For example, if you have a white, gold and walnut kitchen (which is gorgeous), stainless steel makes it look extremely cheap.
Plenty of companies now offer colors.....Wait for the new Bespoke. Its awesome.

And do you have any idea about the new colors coming? I can wait to buy at a Black Friday sale....and I'm buying from a long time local retailer who services what they sell.

Maybe I should have said: Color belongs on your stove in hood in a well designed kitchen if you are looking for a focal point. Others have commented on service. In 1 month you will have a way better solution where you can change the color of your fridge by an app on your phone.
The worst service, good luck trying to get it repaired. They can't even get the product delivered and installed with out delays

Just put in a new kitchen and sadly we did all Samsung appliances, BAD IDEA. My Samsung Stormwash Dishwasher is less than a month old and it won't finish a wash cycle without error code. Samsung tech. said the tub is damaged, and Samsung said damaged tub is not a warranty item, go buy a new dishwasher b/c Samsung is not coving anything. DONT BUY SAMSUNG. Oh yeah our Samsung microwave was missing parts too, they at least sent us the $10 part, thanks, I'll go buy another $700 dishwasher now.

First of all, I love Samsung appliances. They introduced style into an industry devoid of it.....I think I said that during the video.
I also said that Bespoke could work in certain situations like galley style and smaller kitchens.
However, you will be upset if you buy Black Stainless from any manufacturer...and Tuscan never works, no matter the brand and its euphemism, coffee, truffle, etc.
Lets talk about kitchen design which starts as the range as the focal point because you are at your cooktop, sink and dishwasher the most.
Thats where all the colors and possibilities should have been. In a larger kitchen having a multi colored refrigerator and a non matching stove will look off.
Then again, thats my opinion.....You dont need me telling you how much I love it...Look at all the other videos who think its great without any other viewpoint.
And you dont need me to tell you Samsungs issues either....many people will remind you of their problems
At the end of the day, this is your kitchen. Do what you want.
As far as me not selling Samsung, they have an open PO whenever they want to ship.
BTW, I "bash" what I see are problems. Some of which we sell, but at least we are objective.

Very misleading video title indeed. It is a matter of opinion. To my European eye all American appliances are boring and look like they are from the 90’s. While many houses these days are more modern looking. I agree that it will not fit into a traditional American kitchen. But if someone likes it what does it matter, they can put it where ever they want.

This video is about kitchen design.
That said, in a well designed kitchen, the stove is in the middle and the best place for color, not the refrigerator.
The color options at the time I made the video were Black stainless and Tuscan, blue and stainless.
Black steel is an easily scratchable coating and Tuscan is brown...both should be discontinued. Then you have blue.
White is the hot finish for every manufacturer.....
The new Bespoke and LG Studio will allow you to change colors from your phone. Both are inspired and better than static panels.

No, don't need attention really. Just trying to teach best practices from a near 40 year career. Start with the stove and sink is what every decent design pro will tell you.
But in the end, you have to do whats right for you....and BTW, anyone ever say anything bad about anything.....selling appliances?
@Elemental Buttahfly II I don't think the title is misleading. It's our assumptions that are. Had the title been samsung refrigerator problems then I would have agreed with you. But the bespoke in Samsung bespoke refrigerator means these whacky options to change panels. So it's bespoke the thing that the problem is with.
