IVA-seminarium: The Future of Solar Energy - research and development of Solar Cells

Top Scientist Lecture by Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka, Toin University of Yokohama. In two hours, the earth receives as much energy from the sun as the entire world's population uses in a year. Part of the energy from the sun can be converted into electricity with the help of solar cells. Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka's long research in the field has contributed to the development of new materials and techniques to make solar cells more efficient, which reduces both the cost and the area needed.
Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka har forskat inom elektro- och fotokemi och utvecklat högkänsliga fotografiska material, litiumjonbatterier och fotoreceptorer. 2009 tilldelades professor Miyasaka pris från departementet för vetenskap och utbildning för sina insatser inom grön hållbar solcellsteknik.
