- There are 13 Armigers / Royal Arms in the game to be found and become part of Noctis' arsenal in Final Fantasy XV.
Armiger weapons are special items in Final Fantasy XV. They are made from souls of Noctis’ ancestors, the previous kings of Lucis.

It would have been cool if each new Royal Arm we colected unlocked a new skill in the grid.
And after colecting all it would unlock a skill that negates the HP drop while using a Royal Weapon.

Shield of the Just is my favorite. The player should've showcased how Noctis throws it like a boomerang and knock enemies back and then teleports for a follow-up bashing.
The fact that they deplete your HP kills them for me. I don't even really use them because of that.

Wow, didn't even show Sword of the Father's unique equip animation and combo finisher.
@Desmond Munroe He actually didn't. He showed the swing of the sword, not the actual equip animation.
The actual animation: Noctis grabs the sword, holds it upside down, and then points it forward.
Not sure why they didn't show some of the warp strike animations. Especially for the star and the bow.
Question, do the royal arms have different combos like directional combos cause i've read somewhere that they do but i have only been able to do one combo per weapon for the royal arms
Is there a viewer for enemy models? I'd really like to get a closer look at some of those guys.
would anyone know whats royal arms are used in the armiger warp strike? I wanna say its sword of the wise, axe of the conqueror, swords of the wanderer, and blade of the mystic. but im not sure, its really bugging me

One question, When should or can we use the Royal Arms? If we use it once will it disapear? I have a lot and haven't equip non yet and forgot why?
Oh plus in a few battle I was able to do a Special Warp Strike with all the weapons dancing around me but now I can't and the same with summons. What's going on?

Not physically, but emotionally for sure.
Does the HP drain on hit go away in NG+? Probaby not, right? Can't have people having too much fun.

what are you using that allows your health to regenerate so fast as you are using the weapons. is it part of a skill tree I am missing?

Are their any other Katanas like this one besides the Royal health draining one and the day 1 edition nodachi/greatsword one? Im taking my time on this game. Only on ch.3 but got like 12 hours on it right now lol
no other katanas, just that one royal arm
Ferrick Thats such a bummer. The health draining is very visible even with 4000 hp. Potion after potion

yeah, it's pretty much a missed opportunity if you ask me, because of the health drain there's really no reason to use this royal arm over the others

Right which basically means their are only like 6 out of 20 usable weapons that wont destroy your health in one combo. I dont know what they were thinking. They could have gave each weapon a special characteristic instead of draining our hp on every hit. Very poor lazy game design and doesnt really make sense to the lore that they take your hp away in combat. I still use only the royal arms, but my potions go from 99 to like 40 in an hour or so. Least give me a higher storage since we use potions and phoenix downs much more than past FF games.

actually each royal arms have their own unique properties that aren't on regular weapons, like one modifies warp strike to which you shoot out swords to them and then warp strike, or another example is that it's a weapon that can change into any other weapons without getting them, and one is a chainsaw, but the health drain is very noticable
Got the sword of the wise and axe of the conqueror so far...still level 15 and got my ass whooped by a level 34 daemon...ruby light saved me thrice...utter humiliation....so far i don't really notice major advantages with the two royal arms i have...though the double Warp Strike with the sword and that warp-diving strike with the axe feels oddly satisfying... When would you say it's best to use Royal Arms, especially since successfull hits use up HP...against what kinds of enemies?

A$AP Hades On my First playthrough yes. Although when it came to major boss battles i switched to Normal for the trophies and switched back. On my second playthrough now on Normal. I didn't realize that some of the Royal Arms were missable. So i managed to get about 10 of them. The second playthrough is definitely a zillion times better than my first...i levelled up high early.

Its got nice damage and a nice warpstrike but yeah. I don't like it because I don't enjoy the greatswords even with their massive damage values. They feel too slow for me.

what's sad is a lot of these weapons aren't that good in the late game, they're only useful for fighting enemies with resistances because the royal arms doesn't fall into the categories.
But I'm even more upset with the katana. Seeing Cor with a katana was awesome and I couldn't wait to get one, but when I got the royal arm it wasn't that good, it only has one combo like the rest of the royal arms and it's only special ability is you can charge the blink strike for more damage

Sucks we as king noctis don't get our own weapon. Or does the ultima blade count.
Ultima/Engine Blade would probably be considered his weapon.

Because the weapon is made from the soul of the king. He would become it as he dies. But since your new game your alive still you cant :/ wish they did too though.
what level do you need to be to get the "sword of the wise", "axe of the conqueror", and "sword of the wanderer"? Can you use these weapons or no?

You get all three by simply doing the main quest. You will have all three by the end of chapter 3. There is no level requirement for weapons.

Use 3 Megaphone on Gladio and then you wont lose HP When you use the Royal Weapons

Trident of the Oracle, it's a very fast weapon.
Kills pretty much anything if you manage to get it downed/vulnerable just once.
If I were to go with a normal royal arm sword it would be the sword of the father but one that plays like a great sword would be the blade of the mystic
Is the special different when all 13 been collected?
It gets stronger with each weapon he acquires. The animation does change as well.

They're blink attacks, but he does actually switch between the weapons if you pay attention to it.
