Oneida is pronounced oh-nigh-duh.Everyone gets it wrong. I wouldn't know how to pronounce it either if I hadn't lived in Oneida County, NY for a few years.

Mercari sales model seems to be mirroring food delivery companies. By the time you order a $17 pizza to be delivered, the total is $40. Doesn't seem like anyone is deterred by that.
My mercari sales have gone nuts. I can't explain it because it makes no sense that buyers are willing to pay fees and shipping and more fees

@@willwinl I use Flyp to cross list and started them at the same prices as on eBay, buyer pays shipping. I turned on smart pricing and set a floor but many things have been selling at full price or just under. It's wild to me. I would NOT have predicted that at all
@@willwinlusually buyer pays shipping for my stuff I think it just depends on I sold some Funko recently for $39.95 free shipping because I still netted $34. But sold some Lego mini figs and made the buyer pay the $3.99 shipping.

Good job with title... I thought for sure you got banned again 😂....you should start creating a draft bank, add 5 or 10 to drafts every day you list, so on days you can't list you have drafts to publish. I been doing this ebay thing awhile, and just started saving drafts, and now I have listings go live everyday and it really is a snow ball effect. My sales are better than they've ever been. Of course you gotta list stuff people want though.

Good advice on Whatnot. I am just starting over there. Had 2 auctions and I think I might have owed money to Whatnot. LOL. I decided to just go into other peoples auctions and chat to get people to notice me. I am trying to build following. My next auction is coming up soon. I will likely do it just like you mentioned. We don't like change, so the Fee changes on Mercari were a scary concept. However, everyone forgets that the Laws of Economics typically win out in the end. What people are making is about the same both ways. Sellers are adapting and lowering their prices to match the same amount they would make when they were paying fees. If I list something on ebay I'm gonna list it 10-15% more than I would on Mercari. It's pretty basic, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay. The 0 selling fees way can actually be better for most sellers as the 1099 tax form will come in more correct come tax time. Sales are slower across the board, mainly because the economy is in a major struggle session for most people. So it's hard to say just how detrimental the change has been.
Oneida silverware can bring a big profit depending on the pattern, you’ll have to comp them.

Mercari has a new problem on the horizon. Theres a law that was passed in California as well as other states regarding "junk fees". Not to mention that everyone's metrics have shown a massive drop in impressions/views. I predict they will do a full reversal before Q4 this year.
I don't believe that the new laws will effect Mercari. The fees are not hidden, as they are given to everyone before purchasing. So I don't see how it would apply, but they do use ambiguous terms like "Unfair" in the description of the Law. Time will tell, but the way it stands, it doesn't seem like it would change much for Mercari.
Are these “ junk fees “ related to platform selling? My understanding that it was more for banks that charge $35 per item on overdraft fees… now it’s supposed to go down to like three dollars or eight dollars maximum which would be nice because the banks definitely were taking advantage of people and they take out the biggest check first, like your rent or mortgage and then hit you for $35 each on the little bitty checks that you may have written before hand, not taking them out in order or by check #, so they would get the maximum amount of service fees from you! Crazy!

Undergarments can be faulty though! 😅 Because once I had bought a 5 pack boxer briefs for men with various designs. And it was new in box. When I opened them to inspect before throwing them in laundry to wash I saw one on the leg seam the machine probably missed it and half the leg was not sewn in! Yeah its crazy but it passed inspection? So I returned the box for a refund to the store. It was a outlet store maybe that is why?

My sales are DEAD. Occasional insulting offers probably fees. I was doing great consistant income. Still listing, cutting prices sending offers and promoting but its down to how far can I go. Im backing off to see what happens.

I delisted everything on Mercari. I won’t budge until they stop charging buyers these ridiculous fees. It does not help sellers to get sales. Too bad, I used to do OK on the platform.

I’m actually up a little on both. $740 net on Mercari 22 items sold, $14,623 total or $9945 net on eBay 381 items sold since April 1st.
I look for Oneida flatware all the time. Pronounced O-ni-da, 😆 🤣 the e is silent. Cute ceramic dog lot, good sale. Wow, nice dale on the tra towels.
My eBay is also dead only 3 sales since Monday. I have been listing every day. I even imported all of my items to Bonanza 😂.
I have had a big increase in Mercari sales, I did not lower my prices but a few have sold off offers. I started accepting more offers over there knowing that there is no fees off that offer so that would sold cost is most likely the same as what I would have received if the same item sold on eBay.

Yeah, my Mercari is dead. I've only sold like 3 things since the buyer fees started, and one of them was a meet-up in person to avoid shipping and fees.
I used to buy all of my collectibles on Mercari but their fees have made everything more expensive than eBay. Might also be do to sellers not adapting their prices

I sell a lot of vintage lingerie. Trust me, things can be wrong, lol. Mostly sizing.
My sales aren't down. I hope they keep it the way it is. I just get a lot of lowball offers and people crying about fees... like we've never had to pay the fees 😂😂😂.

I submitted a return request on a Mercari purchase a week ago and they had me jumping thru hoops to do it. I had two Mercari sales the other day and I have less than 25 items listed. It could have something to do with you being banned twice in a week.

It’s so weird that you have so many problems with Mercari..I personally have done hundreds of transactions with them and everything has gone smoothly. Maybe it’s because you have so many listings on so many different platforms that it may be.. you, have too much going on? Plush, large plush go for big bucks on Mercari….
